It was easy to install. It has been two years and it still works great.

I put this together and my son installed and was a breeze. He had to cut the current post down a few inches with only a hack saw but otherwise an easy install. All the parts were there. For 5 years, the color is good and very durable. My only complaint is it has a back door that is not needed and mail gets wet in a rain.

I live on a very busy 5 lane thoroughfare. The Ice Scrapers broke my mail box post a couple of Winters ago. I pieced it back together, but it looked pitiful. My existing mail box was mounted on a typical 4x4 vertical post with a horizontal arm. The box itself was mounted on a Lazy Suzan secured with a thumb bolt. This allowed the mail box to be rotated to retrieve the mail without having to step in the road. This new mail box has a door in the rear for the retrieving the mail without having to stand in the road. All I had to doo was cut off the vertical 4x4 post, slide this over the post and secure to the remaining post with the included screws. Voila!!! Easy install without removing the existing, cemented in, post. Great product.

Received quick from the seller. This mailbox has a quality look and excellent plastic materials that make it inherently waterproof and rustproof compared to metal boxes out there. There are a couple things in the directions that help you in the build so do read them. One thing in particular not mentioned in the directions part 4 was difficult for me (see pic) is when aligning the slots and using my body as a brace I did have trouble getting it in and had to employ my wife to help hold in place. That said, after that it was a breeze. Also you must purchase lettering separately. You will need 2 and 1/4 (2.25) inch letters to fit in the given location. Some people use larger ones and get them to work but I would recommend to not do that. We do love our new mailbox and totally recommend it. Put some stone around the base so you don’t have to trim it!

Easy to put together and install. I watched a YouTube video to understand how to put the mailbox together. The video is better than the instructions that come with it. Will need drill if you don’t have a strong grip like me. I bought the 6’ post and house numbers separately. And a 50lb bag of QuickCrete. The house numbers were purchased from Curb-n-sign from Amazon. My investment in a “post leveler” was worth it. I had to cut about 8” off the post so the mailbox would meet the USPS height requirements. I dug my hole about 24” and placed some gravel at the bottom of the hole for drainage before placing the post and pouring the bag of QuickCrete. I stabilized the post while the concrete hardened. After curing, I slipped the mailbox over the post (purchased separately). I secured the mailbox to the post with the screws provided. I then attached my house numbers with similar screws (galvanized). House numbers purchased separately. FYI: I moved my mailbox from my front porch to the street. I had to get permission from USPS before moving. I also had the underground gas line marked before digging.

After we bought a new house, we were looking for a new mailbox to replace the used one that came with house. After a long research and reviews We decided to go for This one. I have been using this for four months now and it has taken an intense heat from summer, wind and rain and rough weather. I am just waiting for the snow now. But as the description said about the mailbox, it is a tough plastic. it does not let the rain and water in the main mail compartment. after having a storm with wind and rain a lot of times thorugh this summer, I am yet to see my mails ruined with the water. I order a lot of amazone and ebay boxes and it generally fits considering not a huge item. Newspapers and magazines lay flat on surface. I have not observed any kind of rust or color fade in this mail box. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because of the reason that I was installing it for a first time and gave me some trouble stabilizing the bar. As some one mentioned earlier, it wobbled a little for a while until I reinstalled solidly. But overall I am very happy with this purchase. Its definitely a bang for the buck purchase. I am hoping this to easily last a decade. You can look at the rest in pictures how it actually looks on property I will highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good mailbox.

I put up this mailbox at our house in Spring 2012 and 4 years later, it still looks just as good as when it was installed. My wife absolutely LOVES the fact that she can open the back door and retrieve the mail without stepping on the side near the street.Installation was easy requiring only a 4x4 post in the ground. I only dug the hole about 20" down and filled with quikrete and that was plenty to make it sturdy. The only thing I would like is a better (thicker?) design around the plastic "gussets". I have found that this is a weak point when I drove too close to the box with my lawnmower, caught the box with an armrest, and torqued it to the side. The good news is that the box bounced back to the original position --- the bad news is that it tore the plastic. Fortunately, the mailbox still holds up and appears normal unless you really look close or try to force the box sideways. My wife didn't even notice until I pointed it out to here many months later. All in all, this is a great mailbox and holds up well to the elements... and even tolerates some excessive external forces. I thought of dropping a star for not holding up to a torsional force; however, since the mailbox still looks nice and remains sturdy even with the tears in the plastic, I decided it was still worthy of a 5-star rating.
