I have three drum kits configured for this mount (two are shown in photos that I have attached.) I love the simplicity and ease of getting my rack tom exactly where I want it. To show the versatility, the kit with the Raven logo on the bass drum head has a 20" bass drum, and the other kit is a 14" bass drum (a 'cafe' kit.)In addition to the mount you will need a shell mounted clamp. I use Gibraltar, but just about any brand will work. There are a few things to consider: first, this is difficult if not impossible to use for left handed kit configurations. Second, the L-rod for your rack tom is 12.7mm, so if you are using a tom that needs 10.5 you are going to have to purchase a hybrid L-rod that is 12.7mm on one leg and 10.5 on the other. Gibraltar also makes those.For me this is the epitome of simplicity and utility. I purchased the one I am reviewing as a spare because they have gone out of production in the past and I don't want to get caught short-handed.

18" DW floor Tom with this makes a great kick drum replacement with good solution to mounting a shallow Tom.12.7mm Floor Tom conversion is not easy to find, went with Pearl jungle adapter connected to Optimount bracket.Spare pair of DW Tom legs and some careful bending to make the required spurs, makes for the biggest small kit
