Based on promo photos I purchased this to have the mirror reflection viewing from the outside in. PRIVACY issue as well. It seems that if the mirror image is outside it would reflect the sun and light and heat. But the way it is processed for install, the mirror is inside. I don’t need the mirror on my elevated half moon window. Customer assistance said install it outside. Well I can’t do that myself because of the height. I spent considerable time measuring and re-measuring to make sure I had the half moon curve right. When I was about the pull it apart to mount, I realized it was backwards to my impression and what I wanted. Now I’m stuck. Hire someone to install outside where it will deteriorate. Don’t think so. Very disappointed.

I watched so many tutorials and read all of the reviews to ensure I was prepared. Installation was a nightmare and I ruined the window. It ended up in the trash. Complete nightmare and waste of money on a standard bedroom window. I'd recommend getting a professional to install it. I gave 3 stars because had it been easier to install, I think it'd be a great product.

I put this on my windows and tested the temperature with an infrared thermometer. It makes a big difference.If you follow the instructions closely, installation is easy, once you get the hang of it. As usual, measure twice, cut once... and you might want to buy a bit extra in case you mess up your first attempt. Once you've done it once or twice, it starts to make sense and it's really not that hard to do it yourself.Highly recommended.

It's practically impossible to remove the liner. And once installed, the film does not work. My living room faces west. By mid-afternoon, it's boiling hot. This film did nothing to change that, not by a single degree; the thermostat did not change. The room didn't even darken significantly. I bought two, and I would like a refund.

I was skeptical, because this window film is thin ... but, it sure took care of the heat! I love it and will be ordering another roll soon to do some more windows. Our bedroom would get so hot in the evening with the sun beating down on it the entire afternoon, that it was uncomfortable to sleep in it. This has solved that problem. If you really wet your window AND the film, with a spray bottle, and use a flat, hand-held squeegee, it's not as difficult to install as some have said. Just use patience and think about it before you begin.
