KNIT COMFORT MEETS ENGINEERED SUPPORT : You've seen knit technology in athletic footwear, but it's new to cycling because cycling shoes require a mix of supple comfort and stout performance that athletic shoes don't provide. The Empire E70 Knit features our proprietary Xnetic Knit upper, developed specifically for cycling with a TPU skeletal system and technical nylon core that creates the support you need to get the most out of your pedal stroke while remaining airy and supple, with sock-like comfort. Xnetic Knit is also DWR-treated for water repellency and easy cleaning, and the reinforced toe and heel areas enhance durability and abrasion resistance. When you combine Xnetic Knit with a genuine Easton carbon outsole, you get a powerful combination that's also a step forward in cycling shoe design. I’d advice one size bigger! In my case 43 in stead of 42 in running shoes!

Great cycling shoes. They are very comfortable and have no need to adjust the laces while riding.

Most comfortable road shoes I’ve ever used. It comes with 3 different insoles so you can pick the one that suits you best.

A very nice shoe - but i had to return them - no way i could fit my foot into this shoe and be comfortable. I normally wear a size 9.5 US, or 43 bike shoe. I bought these in a 43, as i had read one review that said folks with a wide foot and narrow heal would fit well with these shoes, and had read other reviews that said it is narrow - i took a chance that the review that said they would fit a wide foot and narrow heal, but unfortunately it was not the case. I think someone with normal width feet will like them, but i would definitely not recommend them to anyone with a wide foot.

I guess my feet are on the wider side. The length feels comfortable but the width squeezes my pinkie toe after 20+ mile rides. Product is great aesthetically, after the binding of my past cycling shoes broke I switched to laces. It is a bit more time consuming to get the ideal snugness but it surprisingly does not let up afterwards.

Holy cow these shoes are COMFORTABLE! Buy one size larger than normal. Very stiff for maximum performance but ultra comfortable for endurance rides. Do yourself a favor and buy them.

I had problems with my previous Shimano shoes not being tight enough, so I decided to try lace-lace-ups. It took a few rides to get the fit exact, but now they're amazingly comfortable. After the fit is right, one really only needs to loosen the top two eyelets. I was, however, surprised that I needed them laced more loosely than I expected. The soles are incredibly stiff-- the aforementioned Shimano shoes had a composite sole. Transitioning to the EC90 carbon was almost like the difference between flats & clipless in how much more power I was able to put down.Sizing-wise, I wear an 11 in most sneakers & the 45 was a perfect fit.I cannot recommend these more. I've got a few hard training rides under my belt now &, even if it's completely in my my head, I feel faster.

I purchase these lace shoes hoping they would fit my wide foot with very high instep/arch. Lace normally conforms better. In this case the front of the shoe is on the narrow side. My foot would not fit in the shoe. Probably fine for a smaller narrower foot but not for wide/high foot. Wish they made a wide version.
