I like that they are warm but they can be hard to get on and off when the fingers turn inside out. I have used them while deer hunting in the Pa. Allegheny mountains for 2 seasons and I don't feel like I need new ones yet if that helps. If you are careful you can even get a finger inside the trigger guard to shoot but most hunters like no gloves when shooting so they can feel the trigger.

I like the form fitting and comfortable contour of the Glacier Glove. There are no extra seams or fabric to catch in the trigger guard. The warmth and water resistance make it a great hunting glove or just a great cold weather glove when working outside.

Update: 9 years later. These gloves are still like new. These gloves are tough and keeps the hands warm. Comfortable, size is true to size, the design still looks great. Great hand movement and flexibility.

I wore these for the 2020 deer season here in Minnesota and the coldest day was about 4 degrees. These gloves are very warm and will make your hand sweat. This is a problem when you take them off because they are bulky and now the glove is wet inside and when you put them back on your hands are now frozen. Good glove if you keep them on your hands and don't take them off.

These gloves are not very good for cold weather climate. Went hunting with these in Alaska and these are more like summer gloves than cold climate gloves. They're light which is a plus but when these gloves get wet you'll feel the chill start to set in. As well as when your hands start to sweat then it's becomes worst and handling your rifles and other equipment becomes a chore so you'll do better with them off. The only time I wore these gloves is when the wind was starting to pick up and I was in a spot where I could look out for game, with the gloves in my jacket pockets as well just to keep warm. Half way through the week after constantly taking the gloves on and off the seams began to rip apart and expose the gloves interior making the gloves more expose to the elements. Don't buys these gloves you'll do much better with fingerless wool gloves. Though wool and not very water proof. At least if you have a heater or fire you can dry them off easily and THEY'LL KEEP YOU WARM!

These are decent enough gloves. I would go with 3.75 stars if I could use a partial star rating.WarmthI am unsure about other comments stating that these were "too warm." That was no my experience at all. For my most recent elk hunt I was in temps ranging from windy and 25 degrees to calm winds and 40 degrees. I was left consistently desiring a little more warmth than these gloves offered. Wind may have played a part, but putting these up to your mouth and trying to blow air through them reveals not much, if any, give. I don't think wind was much a factor.Fit/UseI think some other reviewers noted that the sizing is on the large side. I would agree. I ordered a medium and would have been curious yo feel how the small fit. The gloves are not bulky. With a glove on I could comfortably and safely operate the trigger on my Remington 700 30-06. The extended elastic cuff is a great feature to the gloves. The fact that the gloves have to be taken off to use a smart phone is annoying. Other reviews and the description is clear about this. Still, annoying.QualityNo quality issues came up after an extended hunt in the back country. The palms are leather clad, with the cladding going up the index finger. After pulling on trees, brush and clearing away brush on the ground there was no noticeable deterioration of the palm material or stitching. The gloves actually still look quite new, which is surprising. I have not had a chance to test the waterproof feature.Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. I'll likely would not take this on a later season/winter hunt. I can't imagine them providing the warmth I'd want. For early to mid season hunts, these are great.

Used these gloves in light rain, snow, and temps in the low to mid 30's. Worked perfect. Hands were only slightly chili at times, otherwise, just right. Would much rather be slightly chili than hot. Gloves are just the right thickness. Still able to carry and manipulate a rifle. Seems to run slightly big. I normally wear XL, and the L fit just right. Can't go wrong for the price. It's hard to find good waterproof hunting gloves.

Great product! Very warm and well insulated in the right places to remain plenty thin in the fingers for shooting. I wear these while I go duck hunting and I use them to put out decoys, waiting in the blind, and when we go and put the sneak on the ducks. Not a drop of water has gotten into the gloves and I've been using them for a couple of months now. These gloves can handle a quick submersion in the ice cold water no problem. I did put them to the test in my kitchen and found some water leakage after a couple of minutes, but that doesn't make me complain. A very impressive product.
