Notes:
When cutting thick glass or tiles, glass breaker pliers must be used as an auxiliary tool.
The glass cutter cannot be used to cut tempered glass, marble, etc.
Always wear gloves and safety goggles when using the tool.

Hat nicht immer gut geschnitten aber 3-6 mm Glas ging problemlos. das mit dem nachlaufenden Öl aus dem Griff funktioniert auch recht gut. Allerdings bezweifle ich die Stärkenangabe auf dem Cutter! Bei spiegel und dickerem Glas gab es manchmal fehler bei mir. Andere Cutter brauch nicht so viel druck um gut zu schneiden… der hier verzeiht keine fehler! … Ich hatte als Glas schneide Anfänger mit dem Cutter echt Probleme und mit einem Anderen dagegen nicht so!

Ich habe den Glasschneider für verschiedene DIYs gekauft und damit hauptsächlich Flaschenglas und dicke Glasfliesen (1 cm stark) für eine Fliesen-Bordüre geschnitten. Klappt tadellos! Der Schneider liegt gut in der Hand, ist effizient, top verarbeitet und lässt sich in der mitgelieferten Hülse gut verstauen. Würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen.

I make teeny tiny kaleidoscopes and fit them into walnuts. The glass I use is 1-1.5mm thick front mirror, so I really erred in getting this. Upon examination, this is a good cutter with a good weight.

If you are hobby making glass panes and cutting a glass tabletop this is a great little glass cutter. The ease of use has a learning curve but that is normal when learning glass cutting and for the price, this glass cutter is a great starter tool.

OK, maybe it is just me. I do not care for the plunger type design to pump a drop of oil. For this type of tool sturdiness, a firm grip and control seem most important. Could not get used to the plunge and wiggle waggle design. It did make a scratch some of the time, but really I can do better with a box cutter razor blade making a scratch. The wheel angle looks good, but did not work for me.

First off - this is not useful for cutting THICK glass, it barely scores thin glass. It's commonly misunderstood how to "cut" glass - in that you are not cutting it so much as scoring it then doing a controlled break.This does an okay job of scoring the glass, but I was still about 50/50 on successfully controlling the break.I recommend also getting one of the bottle holders - or a set of clamps - to hold your glass in place or you will likely slip and have lots of broken glass to clean up!

I am so impressed by this glass cutter. I’m so used to glass cutters leaking oil everywhere that at first, I didn’t bother with the oil. I’m so glad I changed my mind. I would normally not do this, but I decided to test this glass cutter and its oil reservoir by storing the glass cutter cutting wheel end down. After three days, there was barely a drip of oil beneath the cutting wheel. This glass cutter advertises it will cut up to 23 mm thick. Unfortunately, I don’t work with that level of thickness, but I can say this glass cutter has scored lines in 6-8 mm thick glass that have consistently and repeatedly lead to clean, beautiful breaks without even using the ball end to tap the glass. I’m so pleased to be able to actually use the oil reservoir in this cutter. Because I have issues with other cutters leaking, I typically dip my cutter in a bit of oil every few cuts. It’s so much more convenient to not have to worry about that extra step and use the cutter as intended. It lays down an ideal amount of oil right along the score line and nothing more. The cutting wheel is very sharp and makes that lovely scoring sound time after time. The handle is of a good weight and feels very solidly constructed. The ridge around the base felt awkward at first, but once I got used to it, I like to rest my fingers on it which has given me more control with my cuts. Prior to this glass cutter, I was pistol grip cutter all the way, but this cutter has definitely changed my mind. And lastly, it’s very aesthetically pleasing. I love the combination of the copper and brass as well as the engraved design which is both attractive and non-slip. It comes with a pipette to fill the reservoir and its own storage case. Excellent value for the price too. Highly recommend!

This does not come with any other blades, so it's better for someone that already has the tools and accoutrements for the glass cutting hobby. There are some simple directions included, but they, and the 1 blade included, are for thinner stained glass, not for anything thicker.I was using it, or was going to use it, to cut some blue jun bottles I have to sand them down to make jewelry accessories, but the blade is not big enough, so I may need to use the fuel-soaked string and flame then dunk in cold water method in conjunction with this to get the bottles cut.If you know what you are doing, this is a good tool for your collection. If you are a beginner, like me, it's too simple a tool kit, look for something else.
