I got this stainless steel spigot to replace the plastic spigot that originally came with our Alexapure water filtration system. The plastic spigots tend to get pretty gross on the inside after you’ve been using them for a while. And not only is it a pain in the butt to have to take the plastic spigot apart, but it can also be somewhat of a difficult task to actually get the inside of the spigot fully & properly cleaned. So I’m hoping that this stainless steel spigot won’t get as corroded & dirty as the plastic one always did.Installing the new spigot onto our Alexapure system was quick & simple. It did not come with any instructions on how to do so, however, I found that having directions was not even necessary to get it installed anyways. And you don’t need any tools to install it either since tightening it by hand works just fine.For those who’d like to use this spigot to make other types of drinks (such as kombucha, fresh fruit juice, iced tea… or perhaps even sangria? 🤷🏻♀️😆), then it does come with an added screen component as well.Overall, I am happy with this stainless steel spigot so far. 👍🏼

It feels like good quality — it’s heavy and very sturdy. However, when it arrived it looked so dirty and gross I don’t want it anywhere near my drinking water! I tried cleaning it but it still doesn’t really look clean. It’s a shame because I know it would’ve fit my water dispenser perfectly and I was looking forward to ditching the plastic tap!

I have a water filter that had a defective dispenser nozzle. I saw this one and decided to give it a shot to fix my filter. It works! It fits securely on the glass container and works great!

I purchased this spigot for use with a stainless steel big Berkey gravity fed water filter that I have been using for about 15 years. Just in case the stock black plastic tap that was originally included with the unit gets accidentally broken I will have a spare spigot that's a food grade stainless steel upgrade from the stock one.The length of the spigot that extends outward from the front washer is 5/16 inch or 8mm shorter than the stock plastic Berkey spigot. The depth of this spigot's outlet is the same as the plastic one installed. The outlet's size on this spigot is larger at 1/2 inch I.D. inside diameter.The main difference in the design of the stock spigot and this spigot is that the Berkey filter's dispensing handle pulls from the back forward, pointing upward when dispensing water. The handle on this spigot pulls from a 90 degree right angle to pointing straight forward to dispense water. The necessary plastic washers to seal the 5/8 inch opening, stainless steel outer cover washers and sediment screen are included in the box.I am very happy with the quality and appearance of the Stainless Steel Replacement Spigot by OSXDOL and I recommend it.

This product is made of heavy duty metal and is well thought out. Unfortunately, when I requested it via Vine, I misunderstood the listing for the dispenser spout because it said it came with a jar and a stand. Somehow I only got the dispenser and therefore I cannot test it out on the jar it's made for. I can say though that it only fits the jar they made it for. I tested it out on a couple jars I already had from various other companies and it's loose. My fault for not realizing what I was accepting. Other than that, it is well made and extremely durable.
