I really like this all-glass cup infuser. It was very well packed - no worries. The goods: nice format 430ml, really large and confortable handle And while infusing. the flavors and oils are retained due to the thigh glass cover. The less good (but not bad!): a certain amount of the smallest particules will go thru the glass filter (see pictures). But overall 9/10. I definitely recommend.

I've been seeking the perfect solution for preparing various looseleaf teas throughout the day and finally settled on this one. Wow, I'm sure glad I did! With its wide flat base, it works very well with an electric mug warmer on my desk. The handle is super comfortable in my hand and the non-reactive and transparent aesthetic speaks for itself.I find the glass basket rather easier to clean than the metal one I used before because I can scoop out 95% of the spent leaves with my fingertips and then quickly rinse the rest into the sink. The thin slits in the glass do leak tea dust more easily than the fine mesh of a metal basket but I found I can easily prevent this by pouring hot water into the mug BEFORE lowering the basket of tea leaves into it.My favourite purchase in a long while. Highly recommend!

The slits on the strainer is small, so when you pour water, it takes a few seconds for the water level between the strainer and the cup to equalize. At beginning, I would pour the water to the top of the strainer, but by the time I sit down, water level was low. Also, draining tea out of the strainer takes a while because of small slits. The cup is cute though.

I hope it holds up because I like it for just a single cup of tea. I actually ordered it to also melt butter in microwave hope it works for that as well will update if it does not hold up, only got it today.

I bought 3. It’s pretty and light on your hands. However, the glass is too thin. Two of the top were slipped down from dishwasher top rack and broke. I now wash them by my hands. Recommend to wash by hands.

Not sure how they did it but even the finest tea tid bits don't come through and steeps perfectly!

The “extra thick” glass is not thin but is not thick either. By comparison, a slightly smaller mug with the same general design weighs 300g while this one is under 180g. Being constructed with borosilicate glass, however, means thinner glass can be more durable. Filled to the brim without the strainer it holds 590ml. I was surprised to see how thin the slits are in the glass diffuser. This diffuser should work well even with fine-grained loose leaf tea leaves. I like the ability to watch the progress while steeping teas, and this is a “mandatory” part of brewing blooming tea. Brewing some loose-leaf green tea, I found that a small amount of leaf material escaped the strainer and settled on the bottom of the mug (see photo). Still, this is less than expected with most other strainers. I noticed a potential problem with this design when I went to remove the strainer: you need to grab the top edges of the strainer to remove it, but this could be too hot. I was surprised to find it not too hot in this case, but it had 4 minutes to cool while steeping and I started with water that was about 10 degrees under boiling temperature. Be cautious with this. A second issue appeared when I cleaned the strainer: some leaf material was caught in the slits and a knife point was needed to remove it. It may require a fine-bristled brush for proper cleaning. The glass lid is much appreciated both for use while steeping and because it serves as a catch base for the wet strainer when you remove it.

Overall it’s a nice mug but it only hold a little more than 12 oz with dried lavender in the infuser. If I add tea leaves it holds even less. It’s certainly hold less liquid than described. If the bottom of the infuser sits lower than what it’s designed right now will allow more room for the tea to expend in the hot water. I prefer the wider bottom of the infuser compared to the tapered look that I bought from other sellers. I would have given 4 stars if it holds the amount of liquid it was described by the seller.
