The Qorpak Boston round bottle has an amber glass body and a black thermoset phenolic cap with a cone-shaped LDPE polyseal liner. This lab bottle has a narrow mouth for substance control and containment. The amber glass body provides solidity, solution compatibility, and versatility for use in an array of common applications, is heat, gas, and vapor resistant, and protects light-sensitive samples from ultra-violet (UV) rays. Its Boston round shape is used for applications that require a rounded body, short neck, and narrow mouth to store liquid samples and solutions, and dry materials. The black thermoset phenolic seal-lined cap secures contents to help prevent spills and evaporation. The cap's liner is made of LDPE (low-density polyethylene) molded in a cone shape that forms to the inside of the bottle's neck, providing a tight seal and a chemical barrier. This bottle is suitable for use in mixing and storing light-sensitive samples or liquids, among other applications.

Lab bottles are used to store, hold, and mix liquids, powders, and other substances in a wide variety of scientific industries. Lab bottles have a more pronounced neck and shoulder than jars. Lab bottles are manufactured with a combination of characteristics in order to meet the demands of particular applications, such as for solution dispensing, mixing, and weighing, and use in centrifuge operations. They come in many shapes for specific applications, with a variety of mouth or nozzle shapes and sizes for specific use. Lab bottles are made from materials, such as glass (borosilicate or soda-lime) and an array of plastics, which are selected for chemical and thermal expansion resistance, transparency, and their adaptability in a variety of applications. Lab bottle interiors, caps, and lids are often lined with a protective material. Caps and lids help seal bottles to prevent solutions from spilling. The capacity refers to the fluid amount held by a lab bottle, and is commonly measured in milliliters (mL) and liters (l), and sometimes in ounces (oz). Lab bottles are suitable for use in chemistry and biology applications, as well as in pharmaceutical and scientific testing.

Qorpak manufactures glass and plastic labware and fiberboard shipping supplies for fluid containment and transfer in the pharmaceutical, chemical, petroleum, environmental, and educational fields. The company is headquartered in Bridgeville, PA.

I was hesistant to order these from Qorpack (via Amazon) due the negative reviews of the packaging but when the shipment arrived each individual bottle was wrapped in bubble wrap and the case was also wrapped in bubble wrap. Nothing was broken or chipped. These bottles also come with a poly seal cone insert cap which means that they are reusable for pressurized liquids. I use these as mini-growlers for sending beer home with my friends from my kegging system. I did order a case of 12 from another company prior to buying from this supplier due to the previous poor reviews on packaging. That shipment was not packed as well and did not have t poly seal cone caps that make these reusable for beer and soda. (The other supplier also charged $8 more per case.)

I love these large bottles. They work great for homemade tinctures. Just what I was looking for. The caps keep a nice seal and none of these bottles were broken when I received them.

We received these bottles today and were shocked that before we even opened the overpack we could hear the bottles moving around. The box itself was not marked glass or fragile, UPS was also concerted once we told him it is supposed to be glass inside. The inner box was broken open and there was glass shards and caps loose everywhere. The caps were supposed to be on the bottles themselves but the shifting of the packaging had made most of them fall off. There was only a thin piece of cardboard separating the 720 bottles in to 3 sets. The bottles themselves seem fine after you remove the glass dust, but it still took hours to sort the glass out of the box.

I would love it, but they arrived all smashed up. Great Work Amazon! NO Thanks for making it so hard to contact a human to deal with this lazy corporate go screw yourself attitude. Glad the paradigms a shifting.

Well, the bottles are OK. But the packaging is brain-dead. They simply put the bottles into a box with dividers and the caps are loosely screwed on. Obviously, during transport, the box gets jostled, so the bottles smash the caps upon impact, shattering them. An easy way around would be to put a sheet of bubble wrap down, so that the bottles and caps don't hit a hard surface but a soft one and don't shatter. As it is, I now have twelve bottles, six of which have their caps smashed, so until I can get replacement caps from somewhere, the bottles are useless to me. The six bottles that have their caps intact are very good - the only slight negative might be, in certain circumstances; if you are pouring liquid in, through some spouts, you won't see how far the liquid is coming up, because the neck of the bottle is very short and the glass quite dark, so you go from not full to overflowing in a split second; with a longer neck you'd have a chance to observe how the liquid is coming up gradually... just have to be careful.

Great amber bottles but as another reviewer noted they don't seem to understand proper packing or they don't care. 3 of my bottles were busted, packaging material consisted of some brown crumpled paper hastily thrown over the top of the main package. Probably would have been better to put some around the sides to prevent movement during transit.
