Allows you to use 2x NVMe drives in a computer that does not have native support for PCIe Bifurcation.

Works out of the box with TrueNAS, which is what I needed it for. Would recommend.

Tried two of these boards and neither worked. The PCIe bridge doesn't appear in the hardware report and the downstream devices, of course, do not show up. This board is based on an ASM2821 PCIe bridge, which has a x4 root port and is configured for two x4 PCIe downstream ports for the SSDs. I ended up getting a Startech PEX8m2E2 card. That card uses an ASM2824 which has a x8 root port and is configured for two x4 downstream ports. The Sonnet expansion chassis has a x8 connector but only drives a x4 PCIe bus, which I figured this switch should support. It did and I am a happy camper, though I did have to spend more money for the Startech board. The Glotrends original board should have worked but my guess is Glotrends didn't test this thoroughly for compatibility. I see no reason why it shouldn't have worked with the ASM2821.

I used 2 4tb NMVE m.2 sticks. Used their mounting screws, inserted in PCI slot, re-started, and desktop immediately detected. I had them in an unallocated state. Formatted, then made part of a five stick Windows pool storage. Very satisfied. Highly recommended.

I got two of these boards so I could fit an additional four M.2 drives in some empty x4 slots on my new build. My goal was to achieve 12 TB of usable capacity in RAID10 and the only way to do so was to use 6x4TB drives, which severely limited my options for SSDs.I initially tried installing Teamgroup MP34 4TB drives in these. The UEFI was able to detect the drives, but upon boot they were unable to initialize. I tried installing a random Intel P4511 in the card, and it was recognized in the OS, so initially thought it was an issue with the drives.I replaced the drives with Crucial P3 4TB. These were also recognized by the OS and I was able to set up my storage pool with them, however I found that under even light load, the switches would report uncorrectable AER faults and ops against the NVMe behind them would time out. This severely impacted system performance and basically rendered the machine unusable.I have since replaced these cards with some based on a PLX switch, and it works as expected.

Installed in a Dell XPS 8950 running Windows 11 Pro with no issues. Installed two Samsung EVO 970 2TB M.2s on the PA20 and the system immedately identified both drives and was able to span the drives into 4TB. No tech support needed, good old plug and play.

This card worked perfectly. It allowed me to add 2 X 2TB NVME 2280 SSD drives to my older Thinkstation P710 Dual Zeon Workstation. I just installed the drives on the card and plugged it in and it immediately identified them as 2 new drives.

Easy way to add two NVMe SSDs using a X4 PCIe slot. I have two. Both work perfectly and the drives function at expected speeds. I had one (exactly same brand, even shipped in the same box,) that I purchased on eBay that was defective, but the other two have been reliable. Whether you are adding NVMe to a system without it or added additional NVMe drives, I recommend it.

Prodotto consigliatissimo.

I bought the Asus quad m.2 pcie adapter card like many people and could only get it to work on 1st pcie slot which is garbage!!!! The Asus card is for servers and motherboards with lots of pcie lanes like Threadripper,This card works no problem but at 3.0 speed. WOrtk it. I had to but this from Canada because the nearest similar card is double the price...
