This is a cheap knock off not the product that is advertised. Installed this and it did not have smooth rotation. It says it's yukon but the packaging was plain. I guess you get what you pay for! Cheap price cheap knock off!

Inspect your ring and pinion immediately on arrival! The ring gear I received had a void in a bad location...i ended up contacting customer service and they quickly sent a replacement...oddly, it was obvious that the two sets came from different foundries...the second one I received appeared to be better quality and had polished bearing surfaces on the pinion, first did not...after a good break-in, 6000 miles later and its still working and quiet...be patient setting up your pinion preload and backlash, you might have to redo the shims even 10 times to get it right...thats normal! Even in a shop that rebuilds them regularly, they have to a few times...dont exceed your pinion preload!!! if you do, take it back apart and put in a new crush sleeve...if you pass it, it will self destruct even if you back it off to correct pre load...how long it last will depend on how much you exceed it...smart sleeves are helpful since they take significantly less torque to tighten...
