I've installed over 100 sets of gears working at a gm dealership these gears I wouldn't give them away let alone sell them to anyone out of the 20 years I been setting gears up I've never heard noise this bad even from gears that are worn out

I have used several set of these gear sets and never had any problems, but the last set i used was not able to get the whine out no matter the way they were shimmed. tooth pattern was right on but still had noise. Instead of sending them back probably just keep them for a hunting or mud truck and spend the extra money on a higher quality gear set for the replacement.

Product it pretty well, had to sand it a bit to get bearings to fit but other than that works great

Be careful that you will get what you pay for. I have installed many gears in the past and never had noise like this ring and pinion. It howled so loud that I couldn't even hear the person beside me talking. Never could get the pattern to look quite right no matter how the shims were setup. Ended up getting a gearset from a local auto parts store and had absolutely no problems. Returned this one for a refund and they kept $30 of my refund. Thats not my fault they werent made right. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BUY TRASH FROM THIEVES!

I had to contact seller and he said I needed to Scotch bright bearing surface then the fit was great. I installed on 2008 Silverado
