These valves are an emission control device. EGR valves modulate the flow of exhaust gas into the intake manifold to help reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. GM Genuine Parts are the true OE parts installed during the production of or validated by General Motors for GM vehicles. Some GM Genuine Parts may have formerly appeared as ACDelco GM Original Equipment (OE).

The only way to go is OEM on EGR valves. The after market valves are not calibrated to the engine and do not give smooth performance. If you ever need to replace an EGR valve on a GM car, get the part number off the GM original valve (stamped on the top starting with a 17) and enter that number into a search engine with "EGR valve" as the description and you will find the AC Delco equivalent part by the AC Delco number. Or just enter the year make model and engine size in Liters and "EGR Valve" and look for AC Delco valves.
