I don't know if I received a knock off of the genuine product, but what I got was completely trash and cheaper than what you'd get out of a vending machine. The wires were extremely thin and brittle yet the outter coating of the wire is hard as a rock like plastic, the quick connectors they send are cheap and don't stay clamped shit OR even splice through the coating on the wire.Cool concept, would be awesome if it worked, but I was extremely disappointed in this item!

installation is actually something of a PITA. They use wire clips, to try and mate a 16/18 gauge OEM wire to a 24 or smaller gauge wire...you have to wrap the GMAX wiring harness several times to get it thick enough for the wire clip to bite. I seriously doubt this connection will last long. Install in the helmet is straight forward, but did not fit my MD-01 well, and now will not shutoff unless I pull the batteries every time.Once installed, and using, it is more gimmick. The LED is not very bright, really can't see it in sunlight, and not really bright enough at night to draw your eye. It is a good idea with lackluster execution.

This light is a great addition to your g max helmet. Works great, battery life is super long! I use it on my way home because I ride at night and I know it works because I’ve been told at Red lights by other drivers that the helmet light is noticeable. This pairs with all g max helmets that have the LED option available!
