Went through 2 Delphi and 2 Carter pumps, all blew out within about 40 miles, one, a Delphi didn't last 10 miles. No lie. All looked the same, too, same China Factory. I was so annoyed I even dabbled with the idea of converting a Chevy pump to fit my '89 258. I talked to Delphi and Carter, no avail, just, "Huh, we haven't gotten any reports?" Told them to look on Jeep Forums, thing called Google, it's an issue!!! They don't care clearly, it would just get silent on the phone.Took a chance on this, made in Korea and clearly a different factory (has embossed numbers vs the China ones which didn't), and it has been 175 miles so far, knock on wood. And I drive my 258 HARD, (4.0 head soon to be Edelbrock 50169, custom Weber 38/38 with fuel/Propane dual fuel- thank goodness used it to limp home in Propane mode when a Carter blew out, D.U.I Dizzy with Live Wires, etc) I drive my Jeep like it's a stolen Rally car, lol. This has handled it like a champ.I don't mind China products on some things, here? Where fuel is involved and gushing out randomly? Don't go cheap, go with these guys, support a good company making a quality product!! Hopefully they stick around. Just bought another, cause on the trail, 1 is none and 2 is one.
