Nice little handheld welding machine for a small job. Easy portability so that it can go where you need it to to fix something up. Comes with all the pieces you'd need to start welding right out of the box. Carry case is sturdy, pretty great for the price!

This welder has been fine for me as an introductory/first welding machine. As a first-time welder, I was a little intimidated but this machine makes the whole process a bit easier. The adjustable amperage settings are convenient and I'm able to get nice, clean welds even on thicker 1/8" steel. Took me a little time to get the hang of it, but now that I've practiced a bit, I'm impressed with the quality of the welds this thing can produce. The compact size is convenient, and I love that it just plugs into a regular wall outlet without needing a dedicated power source. This is an awesome welding machine that's perfect for beginner and intermediate users looking to tackle small to medium-sized DIY projects.

This is my first welding machine - I got this for some light repairs to my child's tricycle with a snapped wheel and this worked absolutely great. I think it is perfect for light and small welding jobs around the house and for minor projects - it has everything that you need other than eye protection which I already had.Great small set to have in the garage without any prior welding experience - I practiced a bit with some old grills and got the hang of it fast - very easy to use - comes in a great hard compact storage box.

Im new to welding and decided to give this a try. Its portability is lovely. Was able to Weld my exhaust back together with this. Arcs nicely to start with the provided sticks. Does not overheat fast. Comes with everything you need to get started except protection for your eyes. I've been finding random scrap metal just to practice on. Love this machine.

This is a very small welder and is great for small repairs and DIY tasks. It's lightweight, easy to carry, and comes with useful accessories like rods and gloves. Make sure you get a quality welding mask!It struggles a bit with arc starting, and the weld quality isn't always consistent. Overall, a good value for beginners or casual use, but not a real tool for things that require structural integrity and strength.

There have been so many occasions that I have needed to do a small bit of welding but could not justify that need with the cost of buying a normal welder. This solves that problem. The set comes right out of the box with everything needed to get started except for the helmet/eye protection (if you don’t have that, it is essential that you order one, preferably that is auto-darkening). It comes with of course, the welder, gloves, a few rods, the brush, ground cable, and carrying case. This is the first time I’ve tried welding with a solid state gun-type welder like this. It takes a little getting used to but it does its job. The biggest downside is its weight, which is not unique to this welder. They are all like that. The amperage is adjustable, going up to 250A, running on 110V.What I learned about welding , I learned in metal shop classes back in high school, long ago enough where they still had such classes. So I am by no means a professional welder. This is perfect for that situation. It makes no sense to spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars for the 3 or 4 times a year I need to weld something. Once you get used to the weight, it’s a handy little device. It is easily portable so can be used anywhere you have 110V. Do I need to say ‘except under water’?The one thing I’m not sure about on any of these solid state welders is the longevity. They use a type of transistor called an IGBT, which are particularly sensitive to heat. Seeing that the entire purpose of a welder is to create enough heat that it can melt steel, it seems that would be a little too stressful for any solid state device. All I can say to that is… so far, it hasn’t been a problem. I would think there was some sort of overheating protection within. But without taking it apart, I don’t know if that’s the case or not.But again, for my needs and for the price, it is good enough for me. I give it five stars with context. I’m not comparing this to a Lincoln professional welder. It gets five stars because it did what was advertised, it came with everything promised, the price was reasonable, and it works.
