I have three of these surrounding my desk with a flat screen hdmi light for my podcast setup and my lighting is Ah-max-ing. This is trying enough to hold GoPros and mirrorless cameras as well. It attached to your desk and helps with lighting and different vantage points for b-roll & etc. it’s extremely handy and solid.

i really shouldn't. It's all wrong but in studio, it's all RIGHT. I have this mounted on the edge of my desk with a a small LED panel on stop and it gives me awesome light to work under. The stand is nice and firm and doesn't slip. The vice keeps the stand firmly in place. It's a good tool you'll find plenty of use for in a photography studio.

Great light stand, seems well made. The locking fixtures are comfortable to use, and rotate smoothly. Ball head seems to have a bearing inside of it, so I'm overall impressed and hope this will live up the the Godox name. I'm sure you might be able to find slightly cheaper options from Neewer or other competing brands, but I think $40 is a fine price for this kit.

The clamp base pad is held on with a "C" washer on the screw/handle assembly. After the first use it came off inside and underneath the rubber pad. That's a good thing because if lost it would be a "now what?" situation. If this stand is going to be set up and left in place, then it will work. If moving it around for location projects one must be mindful of not losing the clamping disk should the "C" washer fail otherwise the stand will become useless.Godox ML30 & ML30Bi use this stand. It will support a small flash unit the size of a Speedlight or similar sized unit. With an adapter it will hold a phone or something a pound or less. No adapters are included. At the retracted position it is 17 1/2 " from top of clamp to top of mounting disk. Fully extended 41 5/8".Clamp screw is loose and wobbles but will tighten up. Both top and bottom of clamp have rubber pads. The clamp handle can be used as a ratchet by pull it downward. This will give access in tight spaces if a full 360 turn cannot be accomplished. Opening of clamp jaw is 2" max.Ball head is 1/4" threads. locking tab to keep ball in place and set screw below the 45-degree slot to remove the ball head form stand. The screw on the top extension tube is also 1/4" threaded and holds the ball head on the extension tube. The plastic disc on the ball head can be removed in order to fully disassemble the head. Both extensions tubes have rubber coated rings and hold them in place securely.I cannot recommend this desk stand mount because of the clamp failure.
