Manual only. There is no TTL. TTL seem to drain the battery so many not having ttl is a good thing. But you have to manually adjust the amount of light. That may mean getting a light meter or taking multiple pictures and adjust the light as you insepect the image. Its small enough to fit in your pocket. In the era of post production in lightroom, maybe it is not such a big issue anymore
