This is not compatible with the Sony RX 10 IV. I'm having to return it, which is too bad, because it seems very well made. Feels solid, good beefy battery, good charger, great extras. Sad I can't use it.

The battery life is unreal.......no more charging several batteries or even running out to a store to grab a back up pack before events.....charge over night and shoot for hours.....hasn't fell yet.

Nikon really needs to get with the times and use lithium ion batteries in their flashes. I would pay the $600 they're asking if they did that. That's the only reason I'm not buying a Nikon flash. When I use this Godox unit, I don't have to carry around an external battery pack. The recycle time is incredible, far faster than anything Nikon has to offer. Not having to deal with AA batteries is wonderful. The flash itself is very easy to use. I can adjust the flash exposure compensation by pressing a button and turning the wheel, although the wheel could be made to be smoother. The battery lasts seemingly forever compared to what I've experienced with Nikon flashes. Now here are the cons or suggestions for improvement. The foot is great. It's made of metal, but I don't like how you have to turn the plastic ring to tighten it down. It should be a lever. One flip and I can take it off. The head also does not lock into the different positions, and the detents or clicks feel very vague. Quite frequently, the head is bumped to the 5 degrees down position. On a Nikon flash with a head lock, this does not happen. For my use, this hasen't been a much of a problem, but I imagine that it would be more of an issue for subjects that are farther away. I'm sure you could jerry rig something removable to keep the head from tilting down if that were ever to be a problem but Godox needs to add a head lock. Another issue I have is that the wireless system is unreliable if you're hand-holding the flash or using it on a handheld pole. It kept misfiring, so I returned the wireless transmitter.Another issue I've experienced is the laser AF assist pattern showing up in my pictures, so I disabled it in the menu and use the built-in AF assist light on my D810. Godox should remove the laser assist and use a more traditional red LED system. Laser assists also ruin other people's images because the laser is so visible in photos. This is especially important during weddings and similar events. I would actually like to see the option to switch between a pattern-less red LED and a white LED for AF assist. The white LED could also be used to illuminate video recordings. The PIXEL X900N flash has a white LED for this purpose. One more thing. I've had to remove the foot to tighten the screws once, but after that, I haven't had to do it again since. If it ever happens again, I'm going to add Loctite thread locker to the screws.I look forward to what they'll come up with next. I really like this flash.

I am a Nikon pro photographer and owned many Nikon flashes over the years and switching all to this flashCons:1- Plastic card is flimsy. Who cares. I broke the one I had on my SB-800 as well.2- Focus light is different that SB-910 - different pattern. But, better than SB-5000 which is horrible.3- No warranty in US but, you can purchase the Adorman version which Flashpoint just make sure it says R2 which is the 2.4ghz4- Does not come with mount-on diffusers, The add on ones. It comes with the pull-out wide diffuser.5- No locking mechanism for the head, the challenge is that every time you put the camera down and touches your body the head moves slightlyPros:1- Cheaper and more powerful guide number is 60, SB-910 is 34, SB-5000 34.5.2- Easier than Nikon3- Uses Li-on Batteries. I don't replace batteries in weddings anymore.4- Recycles way faster than my SB-910 and my SB-50005- Does not appear to heat up and shut down like my old SB-900 did after 25 flashes.6- Radio control built in, CLS system by Nikon is inferior and requires in-sight for it to work.7- TTL works very well and can control all slaves via TTL as well from the main flash/master or X1 trigger.8- HSS works automatically, when I get my D800E to FP mode Flash displays HSS automatically, works flawlessly.9- You can control the power of remote flashes. Nikon CLS system is pretty bad, this uses 2.4GHZ radio control which is far more superior to Nikon. Nikon is catching up with Sb-5000 which only can be used with D500 and D5 which a shame, you still need to buy more gadgets to get it to work.I sold my 5 SB-910, 1 SB-5000 and SB-800 and purchased 5 of these and a bunch of batteries, I use in weddings and could not be much happier.HSS rocks with this system, add the 600w TTL strobe and you can do amazing HSS shots.I never managed to heat it up and get it to shut-down like it used to happen to me with SB-900I highly recommend this flash, you can by the Flashpoint version as well just make sure it says R2.

Product came in used and defective. I know others who have used this flash and love it but mine was clearly a dud. I can't stand doing returns so this is super inconvenient for me. I hope their quality control is revisited before sending out more of these.
