"The Golden Age Restoration tuners are really great. I have just put them onto my 1929 Gibson L-1...I like the fact that someone went to the trouble of making them look right."

—John Evans, Brussels Belgium

"Great tuners with the right look and feel! The only thing different about them is that they are better made and more functional."

—Richard Barnes, Pomona CA

My Honest Review
Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2018
Style #2500Not a direct fit for my 1920 L1-I think the seller's quotes in the listing might refer to the entire product line -not specifically the #2500The posts line up but the mounting screw holes are off ( stewmac does offer a drill bit for this...)I'm not going to drill holes in my 98 year old guitar to make these fitThe screw holes will line up IF you reverse the tuners ( bass tuners to treble side and vice versa) - so I have done that and now have to remember ( for the rest of my life) that this 1 guitar has tuners opposite direction of all the othersBushing seemed too large, not an easy press fit with fingers ( stewmac does sell a reamer for this)- I reused the originalsStewmac should be able to do better than this- for a retrofit tuner, they could even add extra holes on the plate to accommodate different spacings-the customer shouldn;t have to alter the instrument to make the tuners fit
