This flower press kit is so much better than heavy books and paper towels or cheap copy paper! It's so easy to set up and use, and has the capacity for more than enough layers, lol. So far I have tried it with smaller wildflowers that I see on my travels and it has worked beautifully. Not sure how well it will work on bigger heavier flowers but I'm going to give it a shot. I can't wait for a forest outing and access to ferns, etc! At this price point how can you go wrong? A lot comes in the package and is a pretty good deal in my eyes. Very giftable and awesome for a beginner! 👍

I like the size of this press overall at 11", however the included cardboard pieces and paper inserts are much smaller at only about 9", so it is really only a 9" press.I am not a fan of using cardboard to dry flowers as you can't reuse it or dry it out properly if it gets too damp when pressing thicker flowers. (However it is easy enough to cut new pieces using a standard corrugated cardboard box if needed.)The included drying papers are adequate, but I have seen much thicker sheets in other kits.I would have also liked to have a zip top plastic bag to place the press inside when my flowers are in it to keep put ambient moisture and speed up the drying process (it is very humid where I live.)Overall this is an ok press, but I have seen better quality.

I just used the flower press for the first time today and it made pressing flowers go so much quicker and neater than when I have used heavy books and paper towels instead. It was definitely worth the money and was a good value, especially considering the little tweezers and other tools it came with. It is simple enough for kids to use as well and I think they would have fun with it.

pretty simple design. pre cut pieces of cardboard where i could have gotten any amazon box if needed. some cardstock paper, wood with some laser cutting then 4 bolts on each corner. Be sure to apply the bolt pressure evenly. if it becomes crooked its a pain to fully apply pressure to the whole flower. It definitely works though once you figure it out.
