Wanted to use theses to replace a speaker in a cabinet that lost its foam outer ring. they are technically the same size but the housing of these speakers don't allow for it o seat properly into the cabinet hole.

....I have purchased 4 of these and every one had the same manufacturers defect. The small backing nut which secures the speaker connection isn’t tighten enough at the factory so that when you attempt to loosen the speaker connection top screw it spins the threaded stud and begins to unscrew the backing nut to the point it’s ready to fall off. You can barely get to the nut with some needle nose pliers but it’s very close quarters and you’ll risk damaging the speaker trying to fix it.Other than that, these were a good upgrade in sound quality and power handling capability to my built-in wall mounted speakers.Would have been 5 stars had they not all been defective.

I wanted to like these subs but....I installed a pair into a custom ported box, paired with a high quality/power Alpine amp & they just can’t handle the bass. At low to medium volume, you can hear the cone distorting/slapping. Next to my Alpine 8” type R sub, there is no comparison. These look really good, like high quality speakers. I may just be expecting too much.

Got these to replace two blown woofers in a set of higher-end home theater speakers that I bought from a garage sale. They sound good, but not excellent. They have a good clean sound but are not very loud and the bass would ideally need to be accompanied by a subwoofer to get the full range of low frequency sound. They are a very small woofer however so perhaps that is to be expected. If you need an inexpensive woofer to replace a stock speaker these are a good choice, but you do get what you pay for.

I purchased this 6 1/2" speaker to istall in a small "cheapy" 10 watt practice bass amp I have. The original speaker in this amp didn't get the job done; it couldn't handle the low notes of my electric bass. I got the wild idea to "hot rod" the practice amp with a beafier speaker so I purchased and installed this Goldwood 6 1/2" speaker and WOW what a difference. I was surprized and amazed at the big sound this speaker puts out. People have commented that they can not believe the depth of bass sound that now comes out of that small practice amp. The bass is so strong that I'm afraid this Goldwood speaker is one day going to bust the amp enclosure wide open! Oh, and if you are into slap and pop playing -- this speaker gets the high notes just as good. Adios y Buena Suerte.
