Good quality. 16 gauge wire as opposed to the preferred 14 gauge. Probably more of a personal choice

I used this to rewire an 8' trailer I just got. It's nice because it has the wires encased in a PVC sleeve so they aren't just running back the trailer exposed to the elements. Each side has it's own sleeve as well, so you can run it al the way to the back of the trailer in the sheath except where you have to splice into it for your side marker lights. My lights now work great and it's nice knowing all the wiring is new.I am only giving it 4 starts because I'm not convinced the wire is 16 gauge. That's the main reason I picked this wiring harness, and maybe it is 16 gauge, but I'm not sure. I don't have a way to know that for sure, but it seemed like my wire stripper didn't want to strip the coating off the wire easily when I used the 16 gauge hole. Otherwise, I really like this harness for the reasons stated above.I didn't use the plug on the end of it because I needed a 5 pin plug. I ran an extra wire back the trailer with this harness so I could have a backup light tied into the reverse wiring on my vehicle. So I cut the plug off this harness and wired in a 5 pin plug.

I ordered this wiring harness to replace my original wiring harness since I am installing all new LED lighting on the trailer. I love this PVC wire since it will really protect the internal 16 AWG wires. The harness is split in to two branches one for the Left side and one for the Right side of the trailer so wiring the side marker lights will be easier. You will need to cut and slit the PVC jacket where your side marker lights will splice into the harness. This is easily done with a razor knife or X-Acto knife. Then it is recommended to solder and tape the connection versus a splice type connector. I also added a little silicone grease to the connection then tapes it well so corrosion will stay away. It is easier to do this now while the wire is very clean and not oxidized yet. I then finished wiring the rest of the trailer and cut the extra length off and finished the tail light wiring connections the same as the side marker light connections. All wen well and this wire was slightly heavier than the original 18 AWG wire which is great for longevity. I also did a little extra work on the car connection side where the wires are exposed and the PVC jacket is just cut and exposed. I added a piece of heat shrink tubing to cover the open PVC jacket end so water and grime cannot enter the PVC jacket here. I cut about two inches and slid it from the end of the wire all the way to the front of the harness to cover this PVC jacket opening and then shrunk it over the connection. I did this first before running the harness down the trailer. You could also add a piece of heat shrink to the exposed wires at the 4 pin plug so they are held together better. I did not do this but thought about it after the harness was already installed so a bit too late. I may take some electrical tape and wrap these wires to keep them together. This is a great harness and Yes - I would order it again and recommend it to others I did notice a small slice in the ground (white) wire insulation but was able to add a small piece of tape to cover it up. It was not cut all the way through so it should be OK long term.

Perfect - exactly what I needed. It's a thick and durable wireset. 16ga solid COPPER wiring and heavy plastic for longevity.I constantly get pulled over because the cheap wiring that comes with most lights are copper coated aluminum which usually is very thin and breaks all the time - so lights are not coming on. In addition, the ground wires on them are usually no good. This wishbone wireset makes it easy for me to replace the old wire and stop the ongoing problems.

I got this to add stop and turn signals to my Yakima bike rack. The rack has a pivot arm that swings out to one said so I need a bit of length on the harness to accommodate the pivot. This harness has plenty of length, enough to wire a long trailer. The connector and insulation seems robust and made of good quality. My only wish would be for some extra insulation around the split for the left and right circuits. For my application, I easily solved this need by adding a short length of black 1/4" shrink tubing.

What can I say? It does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The wiring is solid, the PVC sleeve adds nice protection, and installation was straightforward. No frills, no fuss—just a reliable kit that gets the job done. Four stars because there's always room for improvement, but honestly, it works and that’s what matters.

There's nothing fancy or complex about this harness. For me it's as if it were made for my trailer as it is an exact duplicate of the original OEM harness that is worn out and corroded. I'm using it on a small 4x6 utility trailer and the plug is the right fit for the harness on my car. It works all the lights as expected, i.e., brake, turn signal, running, and hazard. As advertised it is also a heavier gauge wire than the OEM on the trailer with a better protective jacket around the copper so I expect many years of good service.
