I love this weathervane. Didn’t want it to tarnish so I bought a 2 oz bottle of Everbrite Protective UV Clear Coat. And gave it two coats. At first I put it up and it started to tarnish right away which is to be expected but I didn’t like the patina. The tarnish came off easily with Barkeepers Friend before the Everbrite coating.

I got it for my wife’s birthday and she absolutely loves it!You can see the handmade care and craftsmanship of this item.Buy the adjustable mount. It was easy to install and comes with the hardware you need. 20 minutes on the roof and all done!

My wife got this for me for our anniversary. I always wanted a weathervane and this one is beautiful. Well made and just looks so good on top of our house. I recommend getting the Good Directions adjustable roof mount if you are installing it in to of a traditional roof on the peak. I first bought one on Amazon that was 5 dollars cheaper and it was lower quality and came with cement anchors only which were useless for what I needed it for. Highly recommend!

Looked far and wide for a suitable weathervane when I came across this one. It arrived bright and shiny and I fully expected the copper whale to age with a beautiful green patina. Have had it over a year and am happy with it. "Moby" the whale turns in the wind's directing and it looks great except that the whale itself weathered to a dull brown patina. The brass direction letters still look like brass and look good. The dull brown patina is disappointing, however.
