This is perfectly adequate for a beginner to learn the basics of pottery. My niece is old enough to use this with supervision in my opinion. Some of the tools must be used carefully. She is very happy with it and looks forward to the items she’s planning to make. I would recommend this to adults as well.

The Goody King Mini Pottery Wheel is a fun and convenient option for children and beginner adults interested in pottery. The compact size makes it easy to store, and it comes with a decent amount of clay and a variety of useful tools to get started. It’s perfect for those looking to dip their toes into pottery without committing to a large, expensive setup.While the overall experience is positive, there are a couple of things to note. The basin is not removable, which can make cleanup a bit tricky. I also found that the clay sometimes gets stuck, though this could be user error. Removing the clay was harder than expected, and it may also be because the clay was a bit hard when I first used it.Overall, for the price and its intended audience, the Goody King Mini Pottery Wheel is a great starter kit, but be prepared for some minor challenges when handling the clay.

My niece, who is 6 loveeeeesss to make flowerpots, small plates, and whatever else she is feeling that day with this! She picked up on it very quickly and she uses it at least once a week and it's held up! It's about small/medium size, great for beginners and kids! Very good buy!

The splash pan that comes with this wheel doesn't fit, no matter how much wrestling with it I did. I wrote to the company, asking if there was a different pan, explaining how this one just didn't fit. They took a very long time to respond, would inquire more information, asked to have videos and pictures (over several different emails, over several different days), to then just tell me to put the splash pan on (even though it won't go on) and let the wheel grind it down to make it fit. I was in contact with them for 2 weeks, with absolutely no help, and to just have to return the item anyway. Definitely not worth the time.

This is a great activity for kids or adults to learn something new. It's very easy to use and the instructions are simple. While we weren't the best at actually shaping the clay ourselves, the product is great!

Good item for you. The pricing is appropriate with the size and quality. Works as intended no issues as of now to report. Quality of the material fills a decent grade of plastic. You get plenty of tools to start your Pottery Journey.

Just opening for Christmas and the plate seems to be rubbing against the splash pan, not allowing the plate to spin. Anyone have issues with this? I'd really love for this to work out for my 10 year old and not have to do any returns.
