Haven't jumped a car with this, but have jumped our mower 3 times with it. They are sturdy and actually seem to be made with quality in mind, a rare thing these days.

Great to have a pair of these in your car. The bag is perfect so you don’t have cables just all around in ur trunk. Worth it!

These jumper cables are great to have on hand for emergency situations. The length works out great and the material they're made of is good too. The cables are not stiff or hard. The clamps used are good quality, too. They grip on tight to the terminals and are easy enough to squeeze with 1 hand. The pouch included is perfect for keeping these ready in the trunk.

Hope never in a position to have to use, but if so, they are great to have.Great that they come in a bag that works to put a few other emergency items in so they are all in one spot.Clear case allows you to look in quick. These don't feel and look like you went to a dollar store to pick up either.

These are thin cheap cables. They're ok on smaller batteries. Wouldn't go too big. They work OK. Decent price. If I get another set will look for heavier duty.

These Goodyear, 12 foot "Booster" cables, are handy to have, BUT do not attempt to use them if you do not know what you are doing! Read all instructions first, observe the proper polarity of the batteries and WEAR EYE PROTECTION (In case of a battery explosion... Batteries contain acid!)As the manufacturer states these are "BOOSTER" Cables and are not intended to start a car with a massive engine or an automobile with no battery! They will help to start a motorcycle, a sedan or a small car, which needs an emergency "BOOST"!These cable will allow you to transfer a charge to the dead battery that will assist getting the disabled car started, but they do not have the robustness to transfer enough power to a completely dead battery in a V-8 or Diesel truck. The best practice to follow with these booster cables is, Connect the batteries as shown on the diagram, and allow enough time for the starting batter to send a charge to the battery that needs a boost... ONLY THEN, should you try to start the disabled vehicle. (About 5 minutes). These booster cables are 10 gage copper wire. This size wire will only handle about 50 Amps. (A car starter requires about 200 Amps). The kind of booster cables your local AAA rescue truck carries are between 8 - 4 gage (capable of 150 - 300 AMPS)However, by following the best practices of starting a disabled vehicle, waiting for the disabled vehicle to obtain enough charge to start, and knowing what your are doing under the hood of a car... These booster are more than adequate to keep in the trunk of your car, in case of an emergency. (Such as leaving your lights on...) The Nylon bag will keep your cables neat, tidy and always ready for use, should the need arise.

Soft silicone is very thick on these cables, but when I load tested them at a sustained 40 A they reached 125°. it's closer to 12 gauge strands of copper more so than 10 gauge.
