Received an open box that was taped with double sided tape to look new. The seal on box was broken completely once the outside GoPro paper wrap was removed. Contacted Amazon and they fixed the issue.The GoPro Max (as we have another) is a great camera. Not to be surprised as it's GoPro.

The product is fun to use! The only doubt I have is about the lens protection. When I got it into a pool, some water got into the lens protection that comes with it. I wonder if the lens protection has a problem or if buying a full underwater waterproof case is mandatory. But it didn't damage anything, the camera is resistant and has interesting resources. Totally recomend it.

I bought this to use on my motorcycle, and not only does it fill the role of a dash cam quite well. In addition, the GoPro Max is a great tool for recording yourself and getting selfies safely while engaging in activities that require two hands - such as motorcycling or bicycling, and probably skiiing too. Finally those with narcissistic personality disorder won't have to choose between recording themselves and being safe.Image quality is great, as is video. Battery life isn't as long as I would like, but batteries are readily swappable, making this easy to mitigate.

I purchased this for my hobby of mapping the area bike trails and uploading to Google Street View. Overall the camera works well. My only issue is that the lenses are relatively easily scratched and are non-replaceable. So, if you buy one of these, by the additional lens protectors as well. I already have a minor scratch on the forward lens from a minor fall.Also, the GPS has limitations. I find that it can take up to a minute for the GPS to get a good 3D fix. Until then the GPS has a 2D fix which is A) quite noisy and B) has a fixed elevation. Also, when passing under large obstacles (e.g. large bridges), the GPS goes a quite crazy. There seems to be little to no filtering (e.g. Kalman) nor any dead-reckoning capability.

Easy to use. Very intuitive if you have some sense of digital cameras. Eats batteries. Great quality picture/videos. 360 videos fantastic. The App is terrible on my Samsung S9. Had to reload each time I tried to use. The camera feels small and light but works very well. I love to voice command feature. Just tell the camera what to do and it work immediately. Move over Alexa.

I am not a fan of this camera. First and worst, in 360 mode, the output files are in a proprietary format that requires an app to post process the video into a format that can be edited on a PC. This app will only run on a computer running windows 10 or 11. So in 360 mode it's a lot of work to get a usable video.UPDATED:After upgrading my PC to win 10, I find that the GoPro player is unable to export a video. I have spent many hours with customer support but at this time, several reps have admitted to me that many users are unable to export videos and it is a big problem. Customer support can only elevate the issue to the engineering team. They have stated many times that they will get back to me with a solution but never do. Therefore, I am forced to return this camera in favor of the install. This has been nothing short of maddening dealing with GoPro!The app for a phone or tablet is very buggy and after you get your video edited, you still cannot convert it to MP4 so it can only be viewed on the tablet.Customer support is non existent and the manual is not very helpful. Instructions for the app don't exist.In hero mode, this camera will make a pretty good video but the 360 mode is very hard to get a good video.This thing eats battery at an alarming rate even when off. If you charge up to 100% and leave it sitting on a table turned off, the next day it will be down to 30%. If you are using it, taking video's, you will be lucky to get 30 minutes before it shuts down due to low battery.It runs hot, it will get very hot when you are taking video's and sometimes, shut down due to overheating if it gets over 96 degrees F.Overall, this camera is not very user friendly in 360 mode but will take a decent video as a normal camera. For the price, there are better options out there.
