Overall, I am giving the adapter a 5 star rating because the adapter is easy to install and Its very simple which makes it easy to use. Definitely worth the money. The construction of the adapter seems very durable along with the set screws. Should last a lifetime.Pros:- works well on my Orion refractor telescope- Fits the canon T7 perfectly- easy to install- simple to use.Cons- focusing the camera is challenging- adjusting to a celestial target can be very difficult. (Other than the moon)- adds additional leverage to reflector telescopes making balancing the telescope a chore. ( Only because the body of the Canon T7 adds the weight)

This was a great product for the price, well machined and good quality coating. The threads and fit are smooth and snug, the precision makes it easy to attach to my Cannon Rebel and to the Celestron telescope. The eyepiece that I had with my old Celestron 5 did not fit the extension tube of the The Plossl eyepiece that I originally ordered from Glosky. Customer service at Glosky was excellent, Alan took care of me and helped me resolve the issue. He replaced the part for me quickly and hassle free. Thanks, Alan! I succeeded in taking picture of the planets Jupiter, Venus and Saturn. The details of the mountains on the moon are incredibly clear. I highly recommend Glosky, had a very positive experience and will be a lifetime customer.

Just received my adapter today and am so far very pleased.Everything fit well and I had time to grab a quick shot of Venus clear enough to see it's crescent. Will have to use the timer next time so as not to get shake when pushing the camera trigger.Great customer service at Gosky, Thank you Alan for your prompt reply and help.Look forward to purchasing from Gosky again in the future.

Very well machined. All the threads for attaching to camera/filters and adapters are very good. No looseness at all anywhere on the assembly.Fits my Canon T3i 600D Rebel. For some reason I feel this kit is alittle expensive though. But the quality of the kit makes me feel somewhat ok for spending 100$. There are many other adapters on the market for way way cheaper but not too sure on the quality.Again great quality but alittle expensive...Update: Requested a refund because the price dropped 50%. Now 45.

The adapter works as described. I have a weight issue using it and have to counterbalance it. But the unit itself is very well made and hooks up to everything correctly.

i have to admit that i got stumped and gave up when it was first delivered, but i recently tried to set it up again and was able to get much better photos with the DSLR than my phone’s camera could get. you’re basically using your telescope as a big camera lens, and since it was not designed to do that, there is a limit to how much you will be able to focus and render detail in your photos. i guess that’s why people will take 100 photos of the same object and stack them, but i am just shooting from the hip here. i’m using a dobsonian and i don’t have a tracking mount.

Just what we needed to gent into astro-photography:After months of searching for what was needed, this GoSky kit provided the answers and the necessary components. We found it difficult to get a straight answer until now.Solution: 1) Camera adapter (for us a ring adapter for a Canon EOS frame); 2), the 1.25" means to plug the camera into the focal path (replacing your eyepiece); 3) the ability to add filters; 4) the ability in include a magnifying eyepiece.Kit consist of the T-ring (goes on the camera), eyepiece adapter (accepts your "standard" eyepieces), T-adapter that fits into your focal path. The "big ring" is for attaching the Canon body to what follows. The central tube(s) are actually 2, these accept any standard 1.25" eyepiece for magnifying what you're targeting (eyepiece fits inside and can be locked in place with a thumb-screw); 3) the T-adapter fits into either the existing focal path of eyepieces, or can be used as a prime-focus. In our case, our telescope carrier is a Schmidt-Cassegrain (SCT) Celestron, and the previously mentioned T-adapter fits directly into the existing Visual Back of the telescope. The 2-piece central tube is for accepting your eyepieces and is limited to "standard" 1.25", nothing like my large barrelled zoom 8-24mm eyepiece -- it has to fit inside this central tube. You do not need this central 2-piece tube if you do not want to use a magnifying eyepiece, nice.T-adapter fits into your existing Visual Back (for an SCT) or existing focal path (eg, a "replacement" for any eyepiece is your camera); threads of the T-adapter accept standard 1.25" filters. My existing and standard Celestron 1.25 2XBarlow/T-adapter works fine, and can substitute for the kit's T-adapter just fine, plus double the magnification. All threads are "standard 1.25" so that whatever filters and eyepieces you may already have should fit. Anything that has an enlarged barrel, such as the popular wide-angle and zoom oculars will not fit.

Great Product, Solid Construction, Quality Manufacturing. Though I have assembled the Unit to make sure everything function as intended, I have not been able to use the device to its full potential. I have done my fair share of research and there are few products out there that resemble the same construction w/ same funation @ low price point. With that being said, I think this product will fit my needs and anyone eles trying to get into Astrophotography. Highly Recommended!Pros: Solid Casting, Low Price, ease of use, Versatility!Con's: Finish (matte black) would have liked to seen a smoother flat finish, Gloss could possibly reflect light, which you don't want. smoother threads during assembly. (Though all subjective, can be corrected w/ a lil creativity!)
