The Hanoi Tower (9 rings) also called Lucas Tower, the mathematical game puzzle that encloses with three rods and disk rings of different sizes from bigger to smallest in order. A player needs to slide disks and move to another rod, which starts from moving an upper disk from the smallest disk on the top to other stacks or an empty rod.
But the player needs to obey the rules following;
- one disk can move at the time
- larger disk cannot place on top of the smaller disk.
That simple rules that player may take many moved for Hanoi Tower 9 rings, but for the beginners, they start from three disks for the easy part to make understanding how to play the game puzzle.
Setup: The base placed horizontally; the rods stand upright in the holes in the surface. Then, the nine disks are stacked in decreasing order from base to summit; this creates the Tower.

Always wanted one to play around with, can easily be scaled from easy to hard by including or removing number of discs. The finish and the wood and the edges are better than others I have seen and being wood, looks little better than a colorful plastic tower of hanoi.I like to introduce with 2 or 3 pieces to newcomers and add additional for increased difficulty. It's not a puzzle that can totally frustrate players. Scale up or down.Thinking of buying another and having 2nd set set up with painting the edges of 2nd set discs, and having a tower with 2 stacks of opposing color, having to move 'scrambled' discs to stack of same 'colors' etcWish the set was little larger, the current size or length is around 8 inches.

This is a good quality toy for the money. I put it out in my classroom and the pieces move easily and it's held up against constant fiddling by high school freshman!

This is a nice implementation of the classic "Tower of Hanoi" puzzle. All my grandchildren love it.The first and ninth disks are a dark wood.To get a full five stars from me, they should make ALL of the odd numbered disks in that dark wood. That would really help the kids when they are recognizing the mathematical patterns inherent in the puzzle.
