The hoverboard is pretty durable. My 9 year old finds it easy to use. The lights are fairly bright and make it look better at night. Charges up within a few hours.

My kids can't get enough of of this hover board! It's took about a month to ship and get to us, but the wait was worth it. I was concerned about the quality with such a low price tag, but so far, I only have good things to say. Adjusting to this hoverboard is difficult for adults (or at least me), but the kids caught on almost immediately. My daughter is zooming around at full speed and making tight turns and fast stops. The batter seems to last a long time as well. This board is verry responsive and my kids are looking like pros after just one day. They were taking turns using it for 4-5 hours before the battery finnaly died. The battery takes about that much time to charge. If you are looking for a fun toy for the holidays or a cool birthday gift, you cant go wrong here.

I got this for my son with the hope that he would really enjoy it. Unfortunately it doesn't stay stable enough for him to feel comfortable using it. I weigh way more than it's load capacity, so I can't verify myself but he is an athletic kid that usually has no problems picking things up.The unit seems to function as it should, just more difficult to use than expected. Because if it's difficulty in operation it hasn't gotten much use. May be a good value if your child feels comfortable on it, but it hasn't been the case for my son.

We have a hoverboard from a name brand but due to its use of a sealed lead acid battery for safety (remember the spontaneous combustions with early hoverboards?), it doesn't have a long range or ride time, and every time you run down the battery you take a chunk out of its capacity.I'm happy to report the Gotrax Pulse Lumios hoverboard comes with a lithium ion battery pack and UL2272 certification so you can safely enjoy the benefits of lithium and know that the electrical system has been engineered and certified for safety. The bright and color lights on the wheels and around the body provide additional visibility and safety for the rider, especially when it's dark out.The Pulse Lumios does not come with a training mode but it was easy to get acclimated with its operations. The controls are responsive but not twitchy so it's quite forgiving. At very low speeds when you're just hovering there's a bit of a squeaking noise from the motors but I haven't noticed anything off otherwise. The battery lasts for a long time, we were on it for about an hour and it was still going strong.Speed wise, 6.2mph is plenty fast and the 5 mile range is plenty fun unless you're planning to commute with it (don't). I was surprised that it had a weight capacity of up to 176lbs, this means not only will it work with bigger kids it can accommodate some adults too. Do note it isn't waterproof so don't charge through puddles or use it in the rain, we like riding indoors anyway.

I bought this for my son’s graduation gift. The lights are cool. I tried to play it first and then teach my son, the first time I felt, but luckily I found the way how to control it and balance. I believe my 6 year old son will love this surprise gift.

My daughter has always wanted a hoverboard. On her 9th birthday, I got one to surprise her. She is very happy and enjoying herself. She spends hours on the hoverboard trying various stunts and moves, continuously pushing herself to do new things. It has become her favorite outdoor sport. The battery lasts long enough to give her endless fun and excitement while also honing her coordination and balancing skills. The LED light looks so cool and the bluetooth speaker feature allows her to listen to her favorite music while riding it. I tried it out and the wheel was quite smooth. She had a blast day and my nephew has handed me his birthday list. Guess I'll have to get another one.
