Didn't work on 40 pound braided fishline. Maybe I don't know the tricks--or maybe there's a reason why the cutting tools sold at fish supply stores cost over $15.00

It's important to evaluate this pair of nippers and zingers in the context of the price--for $10 it is a fantastic bargain. The zingers are sturdy, and they'll easily hold both the nippers and another tool (e.g., hemostat, line straightener) if desired. They have a convenient clip so attaching and removing them from a belt loop or attachment point on a vest, bag, etc., is very easy and quick. The nippers are fairly large and easy to grip. They have small pads that make it easy to rest your fingers for a secure grip, even when wet, and they will likely be easier on the joints for people with arthritis. The hook eye cleaners appear robust enough to last, and I like the unconventional placement on the side rather than the back of the nippers, as it's a more convenient location.Are these the highest-quality accessories? No, but they get the job done and should last way beyond their price point would suggest. You can easily spend 3-4 times the price for a top-end pair of zingers and nippers, but you won't get 3-4 times the use. For that reason, these are a great buy as a backup for frequent use, and a perfect buy for getting started or occasional use.

I got these serrated fishing scissors as backup scissors in my fishing kit to cut fishing line. I primarily use my Boomerang fishing snips and have a couple of Cuda scissors as well. I like that these Goture scissors come with little retractable lanyards. I can just slip them onto my fishing backpack or belt loop for quick access. I've lost many fishing scissors over the years, so the lanyard is much appreciated.These things cut braided fishing line easily. Monofilament and fluorocarbon are easy cuts as well. If you're looking to build out your fishing kit or want a couple of backup scissors, these work well and are a great value.

They do everything they are supposed to do. The retracting cord works well and is firmly attached to my vest. Very pleased.

This set of 3 mini scissors and 3 zinger retractors is an incredible value at about $1.50 per item.The zingers work great, extend to about 28" and both clips are functional and easy to use. These obviously are for light-weight objects and at 28" best worn on a vest, belt, life jacket, etc. I keep mine attached to the front of a small fishing bag where they can easily be found and moved to my clothing.The scissors are simple plastic handles, riveted jaws with about 1/2" capacity. The jaws are finely serrated and slightly angled together to create a easy cut of lines including fine braid (which a lot of nippers have trouble with). I put one pair of scissors on the zinger on my fishing bag and another with my tying station specifically for items that may damage more expensive scissors. I've found that I pick them up as often as scissors that cost 10 times as much.The jaws do require a bit of force as they are closing and seem to vary a bit for each of the 3 scissors I received. They also seem to hold a lot of lubricant which I frequently wipe off the blades.At this price, they do as advertised and are an easy 5 star in my opinion.

I really like the retractors. They extend out to 27 inches, and the attachment to loops on my vest (or belt loops) is easy and secure.I was less impressed with the nippers. They worked fine on monofilament, but struggled with 30 pound test braided line. Even worse, the pointed tool to clean out hook eyes is sharp to scratch you, and I am not sure I will even use these nippers. At the current time, you can get three retractors and three scissors for only $1.00 more on the same Amazon page. I feel that's a better value than this set with the two retractors and two nippers. However, I don't know if those retractors are the same quality as the ones with this set.I feel the value of the retractors warrants giving this five stars, but I'll use a different cutting tool when I fish with braided line.
