I used this to make a pie plate antenna. It worked better than the Mohu leaf I purchased thinking I would get better reception.

These things are getting hard to find, so getting them online is a good way to get them. I only needed one but having an extra one won't hurt. This one worked fine, it connected to the tv antenna and the 75 ohm cable. The tv gets about 12 local channels with this setup. The antenna is sitting on the floor of the hayloft in the barn, so I can't say about if it is weather proof.
