I need 4800 baud to work with my device. This device defaults to 9600 baud. How do I change it? No one knows. The device is working as I can see NMEA sentences in Visual GPS but changing settings may be impossible.

Diese GPS-Maus funktioniert perfekt und ist plug-and-play. Die USB-Buchse benötigt die Maus für die 5VDC Spannungsversorgung. Die RS232-Schnittstelle schickt die Positionsdaten per NMEA mit 9600 Baud an den Computer. Diese können z.B. mit U-Center angesehen werden, und die Maus kann damit auch konfiguriert werden.Ausführliche Infos gibt es auf der Herstellerwebseite und auch umgehenden (englischsprachigen) Support bei Fragen.

It needs at 5 volts to work and it works with my USB serial adapter without a null adapter

This is a likely a BEITIAN BN-880Q GNSS chip, not a u-blox M8030-KT (as described in the datasheet). I also had an issue sending u-blox commands to change the data rate, so your mileage may vary.

It says it has multiple configurations but no documentation was provided with the item and I could not find anything on the Web for it. It is supposed to be factory defaulted to 9600 baud and is supposed to be NMEA 0183 capable but would not communicate with a NMEA 0183 device on my aircraft. Worthless without documentation.
