This tassel came very quickly to my mailbox (literally in the mailbox inside a padded envelope). I was happy with that delivery time. The date on the tassel was correct but you can see it is a little.. cheap?? in the plating process. The finish is not great but you would have to look directly at it for that to notice from more than a couple feet away. The cordage is the part that surprised me. It is definitely the quality I recall from high school. It is coarse, and the number of strings in it are about half to 2/3 what it feels like should be present.The reason I still gave it 4 stars is because the price is very low, and the shipping was very fast. Would I buy one again? Probably not if it is like this one. Do I regret the purchase? I am not wearing it but for an hour or two, so no. I doubt anyone will notice the flaws and drawbacks because they are minor, but I cannot in good faith call this product perfect. It WILL achieve the purpose of inexpensive regalia, but it is not what I would say is high quality. It handles the need ok, but is not something you would keep as a memento of the occasion.I also gave some credit in this rating to the fact that you can specify the year and the colors, and though that is what makes the product useful overall, it is a reason I made the purchase, I find that I like that the seller has such a wide variety of options. That gives a star on its own to my rating. The fast shipping is another of the stars I gave, so that should show where the quality is (or is not). The price was competitive to others.

If it wasn't for Amazon Prime I would not have been able to attend my own commencement! I'm so happy I was able to order a replacement tassel in exactly the color I needed. It arrived exactly on time. It's a great quality also.
