I was looking for a good camping hammock and ordered this. The best thing is it packs up small, which is great for camping. The hammock is nice size and well made with everything you need to hang it but the trees. The included gear hammock was confusing at first, I wasn't sure if it was one hammock or two, but it is one actual hammock and a small one for fear. I didn't find the small on all that helpful until I hooked it up in my tent. It was great in my tent to hold different items I don't want to loose. The only downside is trying to keep track of the bags and keep them together. I can easily see me loosing one of the little bags and wish it was all in one bag. The good side of the small bags is they can be stuffed anywhere. Overall it's a nice set up.

This is a nice double hammock, and the pillow and gear sling are nice too. Add a tarp and a bug net and/or under quilt and you're good to go sleep outside. The gear sling has a listed weight limit of 60lbs, and if you're hammock camping I'd be shocked if your pack approaches that weight. It includes good carabiners and it's a really nice way to keep your gear under your tarp and nicely accessible. I've never had one of these before but I really like it. There's nothing worse than getting all set up and into your hammock, feeling warm and comfortable, and then realizing you need to get out and go get something from your pack that's hanging on a tree nearby. Having everything (except food, obviously) in your sling instead is so nice. The pillow is a good idea, I've generally used little inflatable ones in the past, this one is a shredded foam style and it feels good. The standout feature that makes this a hammock-specific pillow is the strap that prevents it from sliding down or (God forbid) falling out of the hammock. It's a simple idea executed well, no complaints. The double hammock is quite nice, I've been camping with a single for a long time and having the extra fabric helps with getting yourself at the proper angle to flatten yourself out as much as possible. It's comfy and well made, I'm very pleased with it.The straps are easy to use and haven't stretched on me. They're a similar design to Eno Atlas Straps, which is great.Everything in this set is quality and I'm really pleased with it. Get this and a tarp and get outside!

I got a set of two hammocks and received one double hammock, so I am a bit upset by that. The double hammock is far too large for one person and backpacking which was what I wanted these for. I finally decided to set the hammock up for use on our back deck. It works fine for that, but I won't be traveling with this. I am not sure it would hold the full weight capacity listed, but it works for me at 170-lbs. The straps are strong and it is easy to set up. I do like the pillow that came with it, but a double hammock should have had two because who is going to share? I don't care for the gear sling, if I were backpacking I would just hang my pack in it's rain cover. For campgrounds this is probably ideal. Set it up and let the kids play in it. It does make a relaxing place to take a nap on the back deck. Over-all, the quality is okay for the price, but it wasn't what I was looking for.

I recently spent a week camping in the Wisconsin Northwoods and spent every night in this hammock. It was my first time hammock camping and I'm never going back to sleeping on the ground. There is no comparison to the comfort of a hammock versus a camping cot or any kind of air mattress. My only regret is waiting this long to try hammock camping. This Grand Trunk hammock set was perfect for my trip. The extra long hammock was super comfortable and the tree straps made it easy to set up and adjust. The small gear hammock worked great for holding my gear off the ground and was the perfect size for my dog Rupert.

This is a great set. The hammock itself looks good; I like the print, and it is comfortable and roomier than the others I have had before. I am 6’ and 150 lbs and the hammock is plenty big for me. I can fit a bottom pad in there too, though I don’t always take one. It doesn’t come with an over tarp but otherwise this is a comprehensive set. Straps are long enough and the straps and carabiners are sturdy. The whole thing is intuitive to set up. I was tempted to use the gear loft as a hammock chair until I saw the weight rating of 60lbs, so my pack is going in it instead of me. The pillow is a great addition because it can be attached. Super happy with this; it packs down small and works great and I recommend it. I feel like this is an especially good set for people wanted to give hammock camping a try and not wanting a multi-hundred dollar expense right off the bat. Note: if this wears poorly or falls apart, I will update this review.
