This works well to stop my dog from trying to eat or destroy certain things in my house. I wish it came in a larger bottle.

My yellow lab puppy loves to chew the rubber doorstop. I sprayed an absurd, generous quantity of this on it, numerous times, and it has had no noticeable deterrent effect. He continues to find the doorstop and chew it.

We only have the product for 24 hours, but so far it has worked with every test we put it through. I know it's soon, but I'm so ecstatic I had to write a review before I forget. This has been such a help I want everyone to get the same relief! We have a puppy golden retriever. He likes to retrieve everything and then wants you to chase him to get the object. We've trained him to do everything else.... sit, speak, paw, rollover, stay, lay down but the whole "leave it" or "drop it" may be understood but he also enjoys the game of us chase and loves to rip things apart. I'm not chasing him. The other day I tried to get something from him and he literally pulled me down. He's about 9 months old now, but he's already big and strong. Sweet, loveable guy, but I'm tired of this. Once in a while, I admit it's cute, but it got old quick. Well, not that quick, but about six months of this feels like a long time. He has also destroyed things because he loves to things tear up. My recliner, countless shoes, the bottom of our couch and some of my favorite throw pillows. I recently bought a new pillowcase to replace the throw pillow cover he destroyed. This time he destroyed the new pillow cover and the inside pillow. Stuffing everywhere. I had enough. My husband suggested I buy a detterent spray, but so many had mixed reviews or mentioned cats clawing more than dogs chewing, but this particular chew preventative spray seemed to be the best out there and I can vouch it 100% works. I almost bought it more to appease my husband because I didn't have too much faith in the product, but now I'm thanking him! Our puppy stole my sandal this morning. I got it back sprayed it, let it dry for like 30 sec and put it on the floor. He grabbed it and immediately spit it out, shook his head and was moving his tongue trying to get the taste out of his mouth while his granddogma (thats me.... is that a thing?) did a victory dance in the living room. Last night I sprayed my ivory colored, textured throw pillow. No staining. Not sure if it were a smoother fabric or cotton material if there could have been, but no problem what so ever on this light colored pillow or any other objects we've used it on. I put the pillow in its usual spot, on the ottoman bench in plain sight where he can easily reach it and in less than a minute he ran to grab it and immediately spit it out, again shook his head and didn't like the taste of it at all! He was not happy and disdained the pillow after that. 😁 He never went back to it all night or all morning. Before I could never leave pillows out without him stealing them. I'm hoping he'll get to the point where he can detect that taste by smelling it on an object and won't even put it in his mouth but the release is so quick, there is never any chewing, or damage or chasing, so I'm 100% satisfied! It seems once hes learned an objects new taste he leaves it aling so my hope is it will only take one try of each sprayed object. I'm so excited to think of putting out my fall decor that I actually was considering not putting out at all for fear of him stealing. I kept thinking what are we going to do around the holidays when even more stuff comes out? What a blessing! I can't vouch for how long it works. He no longer chews or keeps anything in his mouth we spray with it. So we may have to respray items after awhile, but judging by his reaction it's not something he should ever get used to. He really hates it. It seems to be very unpleasant and I'm fine with that. Its nit hurtful, just unpleasant. He has a million toys to play with or destroy. I'm thrilled and highly recommend! I hope you all have the same results and can get back to enjoying your pooch while having peace and calmness in your home! 😊🐕

Let me start by saying that I buy from Amazon almost daily and NEVER leave reviews. I felt compelled to review this product though because I am shocked by how well it worked. We have a 3 month old female mini goldendoodle. Her constant nipping on me and my 12yo son was almost unbearable. I couldn't sit in the living room, get dressed or even just walk through the house without being gnawed on relentlessly (as well as my socks, pants, and shoes). I tried everything I read - bully sticks, making a loud "ow" noise, diverting her attention to her chew toys. She was not interested in any of those things - just me. After reading other reviews from some people stating that the smell/taste didn't bother their pet at all, I was skeptical it would work for me. I received it earlier than expected and used it immediately. It worked IMMEDIATELY. She hates this stuff and will back off immediately. We are 3 days into it now and I don't even have to barely spray it anymore. Just holding the bottle up makes her back away from me. It has been SO nice to finally have some peace and be able to just enjoy spending time with this sweet girl. If you are thinking about buying this for similar reasons, DO IT! Best 9 bucks I've ever spent.

Bought this for my 8 week old German short haired pointer who has tiny razor blade teeth and eats EVERYTHING. I soaked a cotton ball and put it in his mouth (after he had already eaten 2 plain cotton balls whole) and he hated it. He spit it right out and was pissed, barking and pawing at it however he persisted in his efforts and over 15-20 minutes of biting it then spitting it out he went full force and ate the cotton ball. So this product worked for all of 15 minutes. The next day, I sprayed it all over my shoes and it didn't even phase him. However, I remember a friend who had a citronella bark collar for a dog that worked like magic so I took Burt's Bees Insect Repellant which is all natural and a mixture of citronella and other essential oils and it worked like a little magical invisible force field. I would recommend trying that if you haven't had luck with this product. Best of luck!

It works! I got a high energy terrier for my birthday and I truly think this saved me $1,000s in furniture. He initially tried chewing on everything! I got 2 bottles of this and literally sprayed everything at his level down. This put a pretty quick stop to his need to chew! I took my new puppy to the in-laws where my brother-in-law's dog had already wrecked a leg of a wooden chair a few months before. Sure enough, within an hour my puppy found that chair leg and started to go to town on it. I sprayed the chair leg down. The puppy made one more attempt to eat the chair leg, but quickly stopped and did not go for it again. This all took place about 8 months ago. This initial spray down eliminated a lot of the hassle of having to train my dog that only his toys were ok to chew on. We were able to concentrate on other things, like potty training. My dog does not have a chewing problem even though we only used this product when we initially got him. If you found this review helpful, please let me know by hitting the button below.

My dog hates the taste of this so I can still use it as a deterrent. All I have to do is reach for the bottle and he stops chewing. Too bad it doesn't work after it dries. I still have to use a cone collar for when I am not around my dog. I am not sure if this works on furniture since that is not the problem my dog has.
