Great replacement grate for a Weber kettle of any other 22 inch kettle. The sides go up so you can add charcoal or anything else you need to add easily. It fits in the kettle just as well as the original grate. I replace my grates every few years because after awhile, there is no cleaning them and it is just better to replace it.

First I need to say that this is perfect for using your dutch oven on your Weber grill, I mean perfect. You can sit it right on the coals, has nice access doors to add more charcoal and get coals to put on the lid, it does all that fantastic. It DOES work for grilling but its flaw is that if you take it out to add charcoal, light charcoal, etc the center piece falls out every time onto the ground. If it had some sort of hinge or rings that would hold it together for normal grilling it would get 5 stars. Having to pick it up off the ground every time I use it and put it back together drops the rating to 3 stars.

Great way to add some versatility to your 22" Weber 1-Touch Grill...Perfect drop-in fit grate replacement with some additional features like a hinged section to add more coal or wood chunks, along with a removeable center insert to allow for different cooking surface options.This grate is made with durable, quality, thick gauge stainless steel so it won't flex, bend and break like some other options from different manufacturers.Just keep it clean and lightly oiled and it will last as long as your Weber grill as well.

This is a lower quality product than the original, factory part from Weber. The steel is about half as thick as the original grate. It does fit the grill perfectly, but I don't expect this to hold up as well and the grill marks are going to be that much more disappointing when using it. This will work fine if you're really looking to save a few dollars, but next time I'll buy the official part.

I absolutely love grilling and BBQing!That being said, you really appreciate a thick stainless-steel grill to handle everything from beef brisket to tomahawk steaks to whole chicken or whatever you want. This stainless-steel grill is the real thing, not the thin wired grill masquerading as a heavy-duty grate.This high-grade 21" stainless steel grill-grate is strong and durable and corrosive free with proper maintenance and basic cleaning.The beauty of this grate is it has end-flaps to open and allow more smoker chips/charcoal for your indirect cooking needs.This 21" grill fits most 21" Weber charcoal grills.It also has an extra center grate that can be removed to allow a cast iron pot/pan to fit nicely over the heat or add more coals for direct cooking.Versatility is fun!Five stars for an excellent product with excellent quality.

Pro'sWell built and fits perfectly in the Weber. I removed and trashed an old grate that rusted over and wanted a vortex grill grate replacement. This grate fits the bill with a removeable center piece to fill a vortex or simply pile coal. You would then align chicken along the outside for a crispy skin. It also has a lift for a basket or piling coal on the side. This option is best for steak and searing and then placing on the other side to cook. With one grate it covers all the bases, traditional, side sear, and vortex.Con'sThe vortex hole is very large, this leaves less room for chicken when doing the vortex. I would drop that down to 8" diameter but it works fine with the 12". Tip is when doing the vortex and using an actual vortex apparatus, remove the center grate and leave it off and that will help extend the life of that center grate.

My spouse asked for a new grate for our 30-year-old weber grill. This one fits perfectly at 21.5 inches. However, I did not notice that it has a central insert that is removable. He never uses the side areas that flip open either. He is displeased about the central grill because it makes it harder to clean and he just wanted one solid piece. So he has held onto the old grate and going to give this one a chance, but he's not particularly happy with it.Other than that it's a really nice grate and we hope it’s rust proof for real. Time will tell. lf you have some inserts you put in the center, like a pan of veggies or a roast, this is for you. If you want a plain solid grate, do not buy this one. I think it could be made better the way the center attaches and is less intrusive.
