This is my second purchase of these replaceables for my Worx weed trimmer. Great quality filament and durable spools fit perfectly. The pack even came with a spare spool cover. They are much more affordable than the name brand and work exactly the same, if not better. One 6-pack lasts me a whole season of lawn care. Will definitely buy again.

The spools have proved to be too small for my Ferrex edger, but I have decided, that instead of returning the product, I might simply rewind the filament about the Ferrex cylinder. Well, simple only looks simple. The rewinding went fine, but the spiraling filament, rather than being automatically fed and cut to length, would stubbornly be getting stuck under the rotating Ferrex drum. Finally I have wound beneath the drum some thin rope and sprayed it with a lubricant, so as to seal the space between the drum and the encasement to prevent such jamming. That took some thinking and doing, but that combined with hand cutting the working filament to fit the encasement, has finally worked.In short I am not impressed with the spiraling structure of the cutting filament, but ultimately I have made a good use of it. The caveat is that I do not know yet how durable is going to be the filament, because my wife brutally shattering my sweat dreams every five minutes would certainly not be the ideal state of the matters.

I’ve purchased cheap worx replacements on Amazon before and they were horrible and the string would break very easily. One of these lasted edging my whole yard and clearing some weeds after without having to let more string out. I will definitely purchase again when needed.
