I would love to have more instructions on how to use this because I don’t understand how the top piece with the dial and spring work. This looks like it’s more designed to squeeze water out of tofu. It is very small for using to strain homemade yogurt.

I ordered this yogurt strainer to make my homemade soy yogurt more firm and yogurt-like. It's simple to use, not very complicated at all. I was able to fit one liter of soygurt into the mesh strainer part to start. About 3 hours after beginning, enough "whey" had filtered out, so I could put the spring-loaded plunger in. Another 9 hours or so later, and it was finished. The strained/drained soygurt came out of the strainer part in a soft brick that held its shape rather well. The mesh screens at the bottom of the strainer had bulged a bit during filtration, but after washing and drying the unit, the mesh screens went back to their original shape.I can't say I'm impressed by the quality of materials and construction for this unit, but it worked well enough once that I can't recommend against it. If it fails after a short while, I will update this review.
