I love this whole set. First I bought the curtain panels and valance. Actually I used 2 valances with 1 pair of panels, then added a burgundy-red set of sheers. Then I had to have the bedspread and 4 pillow shams plus the matching decorative pillows. It all goes together to create a beautiful, peaceful bedroom. Now I will finish by hanging a few pictures and decorative items, then I will kickback and relax.The whole set is very well made and I get compliments on it all the time. I would also recommend this bedding set and window covering to everyone. This set doesn't ever go out of style and goes well with Victorian decor.

I don't understand the negative reviews and comments about these valance. Yes, they are light weight if you want more density buy an extra panel and increase the gathering. The answers on rod sizes are very conflicting. The discription states they have a three inch rod pocket. Many reviews state they don't. I even posted the question and got answers that they didn't. Took the chance and ordered anyway and they do have a 3" pocket. Took down my old ones and slid these on to my 2.5 rods. You just have to take your time like you would with any valance. I put two panels on a 48 " window with the rod extending 4" beyond the window and then the return. Nice and full. Only 4 stars for two reasons, 1: they are not off white, cream, light beige, or anything close, they are definitely a pale yellow, fortunately I could work with that, 2: the liner does not extend to the bottom of the valance, it stops about 1.5 to 2 inches from the bottom and with light shinning through it looks a bit strange. However, for the price they are a pretty good bargain. You can get a cute window done on the cheap.

So pretty, well made, and the lining is a very nice touch. The materials background is very yellow and matches my butter coloured sheet set perfectly. I wasn't really sure how I felt about them until my daughter put them up, and I love the look. Very feminine, old fashioned, soft (not drab). It give my huge space a warm gentle feeling, that I will love coming home to after work. I bought, the valances, King bed set (received a daybed set and decided to keep that too, and reordered the King bed set. I also have the drapery panels, and am certain the whole ensemble will be something I enjoy for many, many years.Update: I love these, however they are made differently than the 4 original valances and panels I purchased (1 1/2 years ago). In these, both valances have a lining that does not go to the edge of the valance. In my other panels, the lining is sewn into them hem, so they are fully lined. Both the new valance panels are fully lined but the lining stops 2 inches up from the edge, and not sewn into the hem. I think that's odd. However, I will put the 4 original valances on the same wall windows, and the other two, with the short lining, on my patio doors. Other than that, they are very well made, and I love the fabric.
