Wow!!!! I’m a truck driver.... Cut right through an average size security bolt (Amazon), 3 times in a row... Of course I had to use leverage by leaning one side of the handle against the trailer door and put some muscle and a little bit of body weight into it. Not even a scratch on the blades afterwords. I’m super stoked. I drive a day cab and needed bolt cutters (14 in) that I can carry in a backpack. These Greenlee bolt cutters are great and worth spending a little bit more for... I would definitely recommend them!!!!!

I have only used this to cut 13GA bicycle spokes, but works well.

I chose to pay more and buy something good. The bolt cutter works great. The bolt cutter blade did not dent or chip while cutting. It took some muscle to cut the steel "D" rings though. Tool would be easier to cut if it had longer handles for more leverage. If you're cutting 1/4" and thicker go with Greenlee's bigger cutter.

These are great cutters well made and made it an ease to cut a bolt that keys were lost. I have used other brands and i felt that these cut thru the bolt with ease. I love that they are Made in Japan (so many items these days are Chinese made and normally not high quality).

You get what you pay for. This is head and shoulders above the disposable bolt cutters (IMO) that come from Lowes, HF, etc. I have a pair of Lowes and there is NO comparison to the Greenlee.

Well, I had a set from grainger that were westward.....JUNK!!!!! I bought these GREENLEE bolt cutters from AMAZON and they are great. The price was right too, and like most greenlee products they are quality. Not much else to say about them.....I use them for cutting 20D nails when I make swivels, S-hooks, J-hooks, etc. when modifying my coyote traps.
