TL;DR Don't use this (and perhaps other) plasma balls around electronics as you may see some unexpected, undesired performance issues!------------------------I'm going to "out" myself with this review, but it was a reminder that, even with high technical knowledge, it's easy to overlook unassuming actions that could cause technological issues. I bought this a month or so ago. My kid liked it but I wanted to bring it to work. I did, and it was fun to play with at my desk while waiting for some aspect of my job to complete. When I ordered another, smaller plasma ball, I wanted to bring this one home for my son.I would turn it on when I got home and he would sometimes play with it. It was on my computer desk at work, so I thought nothing of putting it on my desk at home. Not long after adding it to my desk at home, I started to notice some issues with my machine. I didn't put the pieces together, initially, so this is foreshadowing that it had something to do with this plasma ball.I started to notice issues with my wired keyboard. It was a new keyboard, but my toddler has a tendency to hit my keyboard when he gets frustrated, as they tend to do at his age. We feared I'd have to get a replacement for my new EVGA Z12 keyboard. The keyboard worked in any other machine. Even those in the same room. If I plugged it into the back of my computer, I'd see things like the attached image. If I plugged it into the front port of my machine, nothing.I started to make preparations to reinstall the operating system of my machine, as hardware was ruled out with other machines. Boy, am I glad I didn't do the reinstall. This last weekend, I was playing a game where you run around as a dinosaur (The Isle). I was sitting down in the game, resting, while this plasma ball was on my desk in front of me. Keyboard seemed to be doing alright (plugged into the front port). I was waiting to recover in the game so I started to touch the plasma ball. Suddenly, my computer starts playing audio from another tab I had opened and my in-game character roared (something normally done with the 'F' key). At first I thought it was another dino and was prepared for a fight. But it dawned on me that I didn't hit the key, myself, so what did.I reached out to the plasma ball on my desk, touching it again, and lo and behold my dino roared without prompt or key press. The longer I held my finger on the ball, the more things happened in and out of my game. I turned off the plasma ball and started typing into Notepad++ with the same keys that were seemingly having issues before. No erroneous characters were seen.It was that simple. These things give off a lot or EMI, or maybe it's just this one that's unshielded, but if you use this around electronics, you may or may not experience some unwanted side-effects that seem unexplainable. I write this to save you time should this happen to you.Other than all that, it's been a great tool and toy to play with!

Over all a decent find. The mic picks up sound well and will dance in the music. Touches work well also. Could be a tad bit of gimmic.
