I wish I could write a decent review about this guitar. Unfortunately it was broken when I got it. It looked nice , all but the smashed side. No issues with returning it so that was a plus.

As expected from Gretsch. I love this guitar. At some point during shipping the neck got a slight ding in it and one of the pick guard screws was popped out but other than those two issues I have no complaints. The guitar plays and sounds like what I've come to expect from Gretsch. Aesthetically, the guitar is perfect and the jumbo body produces great volume. Thank you Pro Audio Sound and Gretsch!

Right out of the box first thing I noticed is the quality of the fit and finish it's excellent! Next thing I tuned it up checked the action and the neck, both were perfect. I gave it a few pics and then a few strums it sounded great. I plugged it in and was blown away by the sound through my fender amp. This guitar is worth every bit of what it cost and more. 10 months later..I realized after a week or so the tuners were junk. So I changed them to Grover Imperials and automatically realized how bad the originals were. I also shifted the bridge pins to brass. Now I'm happy!

I have a lot of instruments, and have always wanted the visually attractive White Falcon. When I saw that Gretsch was making a Penguin Parlor, Falcon Rancher, and a Rancher twelve-string for a lot less that the Japanese made White Falcon electric, I had to have them. The six string turned out to be the best of the lot. The bodies on these guitars are maple, as is the neck. Made in Indonesia, the humidity definitely effects the sound and set up. This guitar required a professional set-up but that was it. The tuner and the electronics worked fine. It's not a go to player for me, but it does play well and looks stunning.

I was a little concerned buying a guitar on Amazon. I had not even played a sample on the Gretsch acoustic. I've played Martins, Fenders, Washburns, etc. but never heard of the 'Gretsch'! It arrived within a few days of ordering with the case I ordered too. I had it delivered to my office so that it wouldn't be sitting on my porch until I got home. I opened the box to examine the guitar and co-workers asked me to play something. As I was tuning the white Gretsch I broke a string, so playing it for my friends was not going to happen. When I got home I re-stung the guitar and as I was tuning it I was not very impressed. I like the look but come on we purchase a guitar to play! After it was tuned I began to play a few chords and licks.I have been playing over 50 years so I KNOW what a great guitar sounds like. I could not put this guitar down! My fingers smoothly moved over the strings and pushing them down was almost effortless. I plugged The Rancher into my amp, turned up the onboard Fishman pre-amp and what came out was something I beautiful. I am like a kid in a candy shop. This guitar is truly amazing!. I have not been paid to write this review, only in having this guitar. I sometimes play and sing worship in church and I am looking foreword to showing up with my Gretsch 5022CWFE Falcon. I can't stop playing. This guitar is really a blessing. Pastor Jerry

I have 8 guitars and 5 Gretsches and I'm currently playing this one the most. It's very bright, which if you play a Martin you might not like. Like super duper bright. No really, brighter than that. But I like it. Unplugged it's good but not very loud, so it's a nice practice guitar, but you're going to want to plug in at the coffee shop or larger.Mine came with the bridge far too low, causing the high E to make contact with the fretboard at about the 4th fret. I shimmed there high side up, and now it's perfect, with very low action, and it's good for soloing. My only gripe is the shape of the sound hole. That wedge that's formed by the hole and the high E string catches my pinky when I'm strumming. I'll get used to it eventually, but I feel like it happens about once a session.

Having Gretsch electrics I decided to take a chance on this Indonesian-made acoustic guitar. I was not disappointed and was actually quite surprised at the level of quality at which this guitar was made. It sounds very good unplugged and the Fishman electronics sound great through the amp. I made a slight neck adjustment after putting new strings on and I was off and running. Action and playability is very good, comfortable to hold and incredibly cool looking. No regrets, highly recommended from a guy who has been playing nearly 50 years and has owned Gibsons and other great guitars. Well worth the money!

It has great rich tone much better than other Gretsch Rancher models i have played. And a much nicer built in tuner. Other built in tuners i haveused are hard to tell if they are left on, this one is easy. In fact I have a Martin Aura DC that has a built in tuner I never us because you can'ttell if it's on or off and if you changing settings you can turn it on accidentally and run your battery down. The finish on the guitar is perfect i haveexamined and have not found a flaw. And since i have a Gretsch White Falcon you put the two side by side and they head stocks are designedvery similar. When side by side it's a matched made in heaven.Over all you can't get this one away from me. I took it to my guitar Tech for a setup, which i do on every guitar after i have had it a week or so. He checked it out and said there is nothing for me to do. The factory setup is perfect. I love this guitar and would recommend it for anybody amateur or pro.
