These are nicely made flexible rulers with metric and Imperial units. Being so flexible, they seem pretty hard to snap in two, so they're ideal for kids. The one big flaw is that the inches are broken down into tenths, rather than the more conventional 1/8 or 1/16 inch gradations -- most people will not be measuring by the 1/10 inch.

While the price is not bad, I do think I could potentially get this cheaper at a store with clear, which is easier to read. The benefit of the colors is that one can still see underneath while having a more unique ruler (in case of school theft). It does look nice though. I have not tried to bend the ruler as far as possible, so I cannot talk about its durability in that regard; it's more about its direct usefulness.
