  • Grey control cable set for the Honda CB175. Usually it is a good idea to replace all of the control cables if you recently purchased a vintage Honda. The riding experience can be vastly improved with fresh control cables, especially if your bike is still running the stock cables or old stiff cables. Remember to lubricate new cables prior to installation.

These are functional cables, but they're a poor fit for my 1971 CB175. The brake cable is a few inches longer than the stock brake cable, which required some routing changes in order to avoid overly-sharp angles. The clutch cable has an endcap on the clutch end of the cable that is too large to fit through the grommet into the case without modification. The throttle cable did not have any noticeable fitment issues, but the connection between the single cable and the cylinder that splits it into 2 is loose and comes apart easily, which does not instill confidence...With modifications and care, these seem to be performing okay, but do not expect them to fit as well as OEM cables.
