This thing is awesome. Something I didn’t know I needed until I used it. We grilled last minute for my bday and it was pitch black out and I had sat this thing in the sun for only a couple hours and I remembered it and put it on the grill and it worked the entirety of the party. It also seems to be motioned sensored like once it’s on the grill, if you close the grill it’s off, when you open it, it comes on. Perfect purchase.

It's a great concept and a good working light. Having a light on a grill that is solar-charged with USB as backup is a great idea. It puts out a lot of light and has a few different brightness settings. Having automatic on/off function is excellent as well to save the battery.So why two stars? Because it is sold as "universal" grill light but the mount is not designed to really be universal. The mount puts the light too close to the handle, so on my Weber grill the grill cover blocks most of the light from actually lighting the grill grades. It reaches the front of the grades but does not shine far enough to actually provide good visibility of the food you are cooking. The mount should be adjustable (for example a slider) that could bring the light closer or further from the handle to accomodate different grills. It may or may not work for you with the current configuration.

I was afraid that the ambient temperature over the grill would be too hot for this light, but so far, after a few HOT grilling sessions, it hasn't shown the slightest effect from the heat. What's really cool though is the mount... It clamps, (kind of like a hose clamp), directly on the handle you use to lift the grill top/cover. Then, you slide the light onto the 'track' until it clicks/locks into position. The clamp stays (permanently) on the grill handle and you can easily take the4 light off for charging/storage. A charge lasts as long as you'll ever need it to and this light is BRIGHT... I mean REALLY BRIGHT! It charges fast, too!The verdict:GET IT!

I received this grill light through the Amazon Vine program and have been putting it to the test on my Weber grill. Installation couldn’t be easier—just clamp it onto the handle (mine’s about 1.2″ in diameter) and you’re ready to grill. As long as it has a handle, this will fit, making it truly universal for virtually any outdoor cooking setup.Once mounted, the two brightness levels (high and low) cast a powerful, even glow right onto the cooking grates. I love that it automatically turns on when I lift the lid and shuts off when I close it, saving battery life without me having to remember to flip a switch. The solar panel tops up the charge nicely during the day, and there’s a USB-C port if I need a quick boost before an evening cookout.The quality feels sturdy and weather-resistant—I’ve left it out overnight in light rain with no issues. No magnets or screws are required, and the heat-proof clamp stays put even when the grill’s roaring. Whether I’m flipping burgers at dusk or searing steaks under the stars, this little light has become indispensable. Highly recommend for anyone who loves nighttime grilling!

The mount for this light is both it's best and worst feature. It is basically the same type of mount you get with many bicycle lights. It's a strap that wraps around a bar that you cinch tight. This is good because it allows fitment to a wide varity of handles. But it is also a problem because it tends to spin on round bars. If you have a square handle, this won't be as big of an issue for you.The light itself is good. The light is bright and takes away the need to hold a flashlight in one hand, freeing you up to handle your grill. You're getting a lot of features for the money too; solar, daylight detection, led lighting, hands free, usb charging and clamping.

This is a nice solar powered barbecue grill light. What makes it stand out is motion sensing, so it comes on when you open the grill cover and turns itself off when you close the cover. Pretty nice design! The other great feature is the quick release bracket, which is very important to me. My grill is usually in the shade. However, being quickly removable like a bike headlight, I can easily place it in the sun during daylight hours to charge it. Then, at night, just clip it back on the grill handle and cook. So it is a great value and nice design with this grill light. The light is plenty bright to see what you are cooking. It is also chargeable via USB - C if it's cloudy with no sun for several days. I plan on getting a lot of use grilling this summer with this light.

This is a great light for grilling at dusk or at night! Upon opening the package, I immediately turned it on and was amazed by the output and beam profile. Much better than I had anticipated. I might get a 2nd one for my other grill.Color temperature (CCT) is very pleasant, probably somewhere around 4000K, which is a nice compromise for this application... as you want to see your food in a natural and neutral light while grilling and to assess doneness.There are 2 brightness levels, and the unit responds quickly, turning on or off according to the orientation of the lid.The mounting strap which attaches to the grill/handle has a locking clip which allows you to easily remove the light for charging or to take it inside during inclement weather. On that note, I'm not sure if it is rain/water proof.It has a nice big solar cell on the top. Note there is a layer of protective film which can be removed. Keep in mind the solar cell will be in a vertical orientation with the lid closed, which may prevent the sun from charging it, depending on location and position of your grill. Fortunately, you can also charge the light via USB. It's nice to have the option.I think this is an excellent choice and a good value for a grill light, but longevity will be the test at this price point. Grilling season is here, if there are any problems with this light, I will post an update. Otherwise, happy grilling!
