This grill mat is much thinner than I expected and is a trip hazard.Was hoping it was actually a thicker mat that would stay in place. It doesn't.Wanted to use this in front of my wood stove as a precaution, but it isn't think enough and I tripped on it.I wouldn't recommend using it on carpet because it just isn't thick enough to stay in place.It is easy to clean (65 X 48 inches).Functionally, you could use it under a grill which would probably work since it would hold the mat down.

I had to wait until the weather warmed up a bit before I could use this grill matt and review it. This matt is now in use under our 3-burner Weber grill on our new stone patio that we had built last Summer. So far it has worked out great: There are no heat issues with the new stones that were installed, and the matt is big enough that it also has caught a few droppings from hitting the stones and causing stains. At $20, you can't go wrong!

I'm interested to try this new grill mat, but will wait to see how it does. It is much thinner than we are used to, so we'll see how it does. In addition, we live in a windy area so I'd like to see how it holds up to that and if it stays in place.

Been using it in my backyard under a grill and some other projects. So far it is holding up well and resisted a few spills and embers, but the material is VERY thin, meaning it needs help at the corners to stay on the ground in non ideal weather, and I doubt it will last long through any kind of abuse.... or even the weight of a heavy grill (mine is a fairly light and small round model). I am giving it a 4star for now as it has so far shown no signs of failing, but will update if it rips/fails within a year or so.

My husband was so excited about this mat! We had new paver stones installed last year and added a pergola for the bbq on top. But my husband was worried about cooking over the top of the pavers and food falling and/or staining the stones over time. I got him this and he was ecstatic about preserving all the money we spent on the stones, but also still getting to use his snazzy new bbq pergola. It's very sturdy and I have zero worries about it holding up over time. I doubt it will fade, either. I might get him another one so he has one under and one in front of the bbq.

this is more like a tarp than a mat. i was expecting the thickness of a thin carpet, but this is too thin. the silicone outer layer is spill proof, but does not look very durable or able to survive being outside in the elements for too long. it does come with a storage bag, so maybe it is meant for temporary situations.

This is a really nicely constructed grill mat with enough space to put my Recteq grill on top of, as well as my shelf and other grilling supplies. It's a little bit thinner than I expected, but definitely helps protect the flooring of my patio. Overall it's a great deal and so far it's holding up fine.

The grill is a bit messy, and has gotten spatter on the deck. This will help, and it looks nice as well.
