Installed on Grizzly G0555. All I needed was another two inches, but 6 inches is good. Installation was a breeze. After installing a 105-inch blade I had to reset the tensioner according to the saw manual. Otherwise the blade tension would not release. Once that was done, all is well.

As far as I can tell from photos and the parts lists, there is very little difference if any between the WEN BA1411 and the Grizzly G0555 14" bandsaws. I bought this 6" riser on the recommendation of WEN technical support. Everything fit perfectly. A very straight forward install. The instructions are clear and there are loads of videos available. One note: The instructions include a suggestion of switching out the guide post. Insert the new longer guide post while pulling out the original guide post. There is a steel ball that fits in the guide post's v groove that can fall out. If it does fall out, it is easily put back in. Below the knob that holds the guide post in place, there is a set screw. Remove this set screw and the spring beneath it. Put the new guide post in place then put the ball bearing and the spring in the set screw hole. Replace the set screw and tighten until the guide post can be smoothly adjusted.

Purchased to install on a Delta clone which I wanted to turn into a resaw band saw. Received damaged package andwas missing the upper guide assembly post. No problem as i required a hex post and not round. Purchased hex postat local steel supplier and had local machine shop machine end to fit upper guide Riser block locator pin holes didn'tline up but I expected that. Replaced main bolt with a 7/8"-Gr.8. Modified blade guard end to suit guide head screws.2 people would make it easier to install but one person can do it. Relatively painless lining everything up. Get a goodresaw blade as the one that comes with it is not designed for this. It works but......Overall, it does what I expected it to do. Give me 12" cutting depth. One star off because of the poor packaging andcheap blade. Considering others being offered on Amazon, the price was quite reasonableI would buy again.

This seems like a very solidly built product. The Riser block itself is made of heavy cast iron and I'm sure that it would do a fine job on a saw that it's meant for. After reading several reviews on different websites I was confident that this product would fit my Harbor Freight central machinery 14 inch woodworking bandsaw product number 60564. However after opening the package disassembling my bandsaw and trying to apply this product it was obvious that the Riser block was not going to fit whatsoever. The alignment pins are in the opposite spots that you need them, and it seems to me that the long bolt that holds everything together has no way of actually attaching the Riser block to the saw. The Riser block is missing the corresponding notch in the metal that the long bolt is supposed to sit in. So over all this seems like a decent product for someone who owns a Grizzly saw or any other saw that this may work on, but if you own a Harbor Freight 14-inch woodworking bandsaw you will be disappointed. That being said if anyone knows which Riser block system will work for Harbor Freight saw of that part number maybe comment to this review and let me know what I should buy.

I used the Grizzly riser on a 14" Rigid ....it couldn't have been any easier, simple, fit great and done in much less than an hour.

Fast install (install notes- With the pins up, this extender can be mounted on the base in two ways. One of the ways will line up well with the edges of the base plate and one is about 1/2" inset toward the table. Be sure it lines up well before you start trying to put the upper half back on. Also, I needed to hit it with a rubber mallet to set it on the pins well (was a little paint in the pin holes).- Watch out for the loose ball and spring when you replace the bar that holds the extended blade guard and the blade guide. I spent 10' crawling around the floor looking for it. It would be better to simply remove the set screw and pull it out the back before you remove the bar.I also got a Highlands 105" 1/2" blade and it is running sweet with little to no vibration.

What more can I say? It installed in about 1 hour. The only difficult part was balancing the top wheel assembly on the riser with one hand while I tried to guide the main bolt through the hole and get the thread started with the other hand. Kind of a balancing act. While I'd highly recommend having a second person balance the top section while I threaded the bolt (or the other way around) it's actually doable with one person.Don't forget to buy the bigger blades when you buy this. Look for the "wood slicer" by Highland Woodworking, they're excellent at resawing without leaving much tool marking.Realigning the saw with the new blade was a snap, since I'd just gone though it a week or two earlier. I started cutting some 2" x 12" x 28" spalted maple into 3/8" thick sections for door panel inlays. The cuts look beautiful. It's hard to really evaluate a hunk of metal that makes your bandsaw capacity a little better, but in this case, the fact that it went so smoothly to install and I was cutting wood with the new blade in just about an hour, suggests they did everything right.

My friendly UPS man delivered this item about 2:00pm, and by 3:30pm my saw was back together. I have a Ridgid saw, and everything fit to a tee. I rigged a strap over a garage door track to hold up the upper half of the saw after it was loose from the bottom. I got the riser block in and the top half aligned and needed two more steadying hands which the LOML provided. Like another reviewer, I repainted the block gray so it matches. The bolt head and the nut are an odd size. I used a large adjustable wrench on the head end and a 15/16 wrench on the nut. That was definitely the largest challenge.I lowered the upper wheel as low as it would go to install the new blade (6TPI +/-). I carefully tensioned the blade and set the tilt so that the blade tracked correctly. Turned it on, and cut a test piece. Everything works well, with low noise and vibration, same as before. A+ to Grizzly.
