GRK's R4 self countersinking screw has a new underhead with saw-blade like cutting teeth and six self-contained cutting pockets. Together they act similar to a circular saw-blade, transporting the drill dust away from the edge of the screw hole while cutting a perfectly clean hole into even the most brittle materials without cracking any surface treatment. This design also further enhances the R4's versatility by allowing the fastener to be installed without countersinking into even the hardest woods. The screw head closes the hole off with precision, leaving no damaged fibers around the head.

First of, GRK are hands down the number one screws in the building industry these days. It doesn't matter if you're a homeowner or a contractor, good screws save you time and time is money. Buying these bulk boxes not only saves me money in bulk, but in time spent running around buying little plastic containers of 50 or 100 screws at jacked up box store prices. Nothing I hate more than having to jump in the truck and run out during the middle of a job because I'm out of screws. I keep a couple of screw caddies in my truck and refill them from my bulk boxes in my shop.

Best screws on the market. Goes in smooth as butter. I can even sink them with my dewal impact driver on lowest setting.

I am a contractor of over 20 years. I use these screws to attach 2x facia boards when framing a deck. They slide in like butter creating a positive lock every time.
