I bought these for my son. He's swapping out his old hardware for all gold. He said these fit and worked far better than his stock black grovers. Many thanks! P.S. Shipping was fast. It got here 4 days ahead of schedule.

5 out of the 6 screws threaded while drilling into the guitar, so they are not in the guitar all the way and look like garbage and could potential cause problems later. I also broke two precision screw drivers trying to get these cheap screws into my guitar. Furthermore 1 screw bent mid screw so it dangles while also threaded lol. Putting the strings in is awkward because it goes in an angle and I broke two expensive elixir strings while restringing my instrument. I have been restringing my own instruments for 10 years mind you and never had this problem. (the Auto lock function sucks) you are better off with the twist lock locking tuners. The hole required for the tuners was also to small for my guitar, so I had to drill bigger holes in my guitar which damaged the finished. These tuners are a freaking nightmare and destroyed the value of my guitar, which I bought with the intentions of upping the value of my guitar. The one positive thing is they seem to hold the tuning better then the 10 dollars pegs I had on the guitar initially (that does not say much). But the real test will be during gigs with changing temperatures. I cannot believe these tuners cost this much. If I did not already drill the holes in my guitar I would send these back in a heartbeat. Grover's have always been my favorite tuner brand, but this expensive junk has made me lose a lot of faith in this company. A nice gesture by this company would be for them to refund my money, but fat chance that will happen. All I can do is write this review and hopefully save someone else the nightmare of ruining there guitar.

Grover has always been one of the best tuners you could buy so much so that many of the high end guitars you see use them. One of the first things I do when I start upgrading my guitars is switch out the tuners to Grover. I purchased the Grover 406G6 Mini Self Locking Rotomatic Tuner, 6-In-Line, Gold, for a DIY Tele I'm building and they work perfect on the smaller head of the Tele. Yeah, there a little more expensive than a lot of tuners but as far as I'm concerned they are worth the investment. You won't have to change them again unless it is for ascetic's sake.

Installed these on a Epiphone Lee Mailia Model Explorer. There were basically drop in. They work great and look better than the stock tuners.

Grovers rock. Solid tuners used by Gibson for years after Schallers got too expensive. Will last the life of your guitar and have a lifetime warranty. If it fails they replace the one or the whole set. Super minimal gear backlash. Straight up. Made in USA. You need these. Come in inline or 3 a side. These happen to be locking for my application. Re-drilling of holes may be necessary depending on your guitar. These were for an Epiphone Explorer. Direct fit. Tip cam locking as you wind string. Just clip and wind. get one wind around the post and you're good to go.
